quick question, is it fair or foul to constantly slide tackle the other teams key player?

Yesterday I played a game with a guy who had Etoo and a couple other good players, and he constantly gave etoo the ball. I absolutely barraged Etoo with slide tackles.

My reasons were

1. Keep him off the ball
2. Discourage my opponent
3. Prevent opponent from giving him the ball
4. Hurt Etoo!

It worked like a charm, Etoo was injured by the 2nd half and he didn't even figure into the rest of the game. I got carded a couple times and gave up free kicks from 20-25 yards out, but since most people can't hit FKs I rushed my wall and intercepted the passes.

It ended in a nill nill draw, but I was playing a guy with a stacked team.

What do you think?

wow, just came back from being down 2 cheap goals. Put the pressure on and played some great passing football getting the ball in the box for a PK for one goal, and having cahill slice a defender after some possession football in their 3rd of the pitch.

D2 is the best and worse thing to happen to me, Ive managed to reach the last 16 all evening, in the D2 Cups, netting 400k atleast each time. Got to the final and my net got cut earlier while the countdown was on a minute >.< smashed a controller, thankfully still got the cash when I returned back online. 2million roughly.. I can see know why everyone has ridiculous teams... Ive made about 5 million so far today.

Anyone else good at FKs? I've been practicing since pes10, and I think I've finally got to the point where I can hit on target 60%+ of the time.

I've noticed almost everyone online don't even try FKs, which makes them incredibly easy to defend.

i dont really have a problem with people doing this, but the stupid thing is some of the fouls which are obvious red cards ends up without a card

I always went for the ball and didnt tackle his other players the way I was tackling Etoo.

I've played against guys who all they do is slide tackle your players, especially after you've passed (so no call), it's annoying, but I had to take Etoo out of the game. :ninja:

I played someone earlier today who did this, I wouldn't mind but he had a much better team than me as well. Every other attack I built was ruined cause the guy who started the move would end up taken out on the floor, sometimes more than 1 player :(

Weird thing is offline against the AI you do get pulled up for off the ball fouls.

After my disasterous day yesterday I did a major tactical overhaul and resisted the urge to join the pressure 20 full attack whores and played a sensible slow build up style and managed a 2-1 win and a 1-0 loss, both against far superior teams, well to put it into context I earned 200K from the those games (160 for the win 40 for the loss) just on quick matches. Im much happier with my formation and tactics now, I dont feel like im fighting my own team any more.

pes2011 is really easy to goal with fk

I just got knocked out of the d4 Coaches mode Cup in the quarter finals. Game went to penalties and my keeper didn't budge, lost 4-5.

I thought I had a shot at winning the thing since I finished first in qualifying (out of 16 players...:erm:)

I had a really bad day today too, lost probably 8 out of 10 games, which is really rare for me, usually i just tie games that i don't win..
felt like rebuilding the entire freaking team...
glad i didnt though..the commision fee it would cost would be ridiculous if i did lol

Yeah resist that urge, a few days back I lost patience with my main striker and sold him and my right back, the two guys I brought in one has been ok'ish the other is utter crap, it was that which led to my 2 defeats in one day against weaker sides, as I say though today was better managed two good results, despite the loss today as his team was quite good.

Sometimes a bad run of form can be down something as simple as a laggy connection.

The nations I have most issues with is the Spaniards & French weirdly. In fact pretty much everyone outside England, Ive yet to see an English player use those annoying GOAL!! words or watch replays ad nauseum... where as everyone else the same cannot be said sadly... Or maybe im just a raging xenophobe :)

those Goal! comments are quite annoying, i just hate it when people look at every single replay when the shot almost hit the corner flag, and they come up with comments like just missed or w/e bullshit lol

Started my MLO today with the WE United team. Started off by releasing most of my squad, down to 16 players, leaving me with 6 mill to purchase new players for.

Decided to strengthen my midfield, so I signed Gattuso for about 1,4 mill. His overall is only 64 but his stats are quite good for a DMF. Next I picked up Albelda. I believe he was around the 1,8 mill or so. also with decent stats and about 72 overall.

Next I picked up Inzaghi as my only CF, im really anxious about him, his pace and dribbling is not really good, and he is not the type of player I'm used to using.

After two games, a 1-0 win and a 1-3 defeat with Inzaghi as double goal scorer, I kinda like him already.

Next I'm after a few new CBs.

aromga and sergio are ridiculous cheap, and there stat should be worth 3m-4m

and also roux is excellent too as he just cost 1m with his 3m stat
