Hey. I'm playing a master league with real madrid and in the second season xabi alonso and ballotelli (i bought) are in worst (purple) form for second season all along. They don't change form, dunno why.

Has this happened to you before?

For me, Robinho is usually a blue. I'm not sure why, but maybe my athletic trainer (or whatever it is) isn't a high enough level to handle him.

I'm only Werder Bremen too!

Probably you are making them play too much, or the other way around that they don't play at all - if they don't play that much their form will most likely be down all the time. It happened to me a lot all in pes2009,2010,2011

It is true that they aren't playing much. But i have reserve players that are playing even less and are in better form. Also i thought one game as first player would be enough to get them back to better form. I will try 2 or more games as first player.

Check their affection status in 'Squad List'. You probably rejected some offers for them that pissed them off to the point where they don't want to play for you anymore.

This. You could also employ a coach with top level stats for form, this should help and always check the form rating of a player, 1 being the lowest and 8 the highest I think. Like the fact home and away advantage is implemented into the game adds to the challenge, however it is frustrating at times and can seem a bit random.

Yeah the happiness bar is totaly empty for those players. How can i satisfy them?

I guess it is by putting them in the first team. But is that the only way?

Actually most of my players are with the bar less than half. How can i work their happiness?

But reserve players don't expect to play week in-week out.

Not suggesting these other suggestions are all wrong but imo this is assuming that there is quite a complex mechanism behind the form bar when in fact it seems almost random.

In my current game I got fed up with crappy form so employed the best trainer for form available, there was a slight upturn but still what form my team decides to be in doesnt have any real bearing on anything.

All my team are at least average in terms of happiness, and yet for three weeks running they all had (literally every man even the 17 yr old youths who barely play) yellow or red arrows, then we have to play Man Utd (who are second) and hey presto I lose one of my best defenders to a training injury and not one player is on yellow with 3 first teamers on purples and the rest on greens and blues.

There is literally no reason for that stunning drop in form from 1 week to the next, I won the prior game comfortably, used subs to rest tired players did nothing different to the previous 3 weeks, yet the game decides my form will drop.

Id love to say I believe it goes by in game results and player happiness but it doesnt seem to have any bearing at all, it seems almost completely random and having a good form stat and decent trainer just give you a better random chance, thats what ive experienced anyway.

Hard solution: Keep giving them starts for most of the season and they might have a change of heart, downside is that it will definitely take a long time and you will be playing a severely out of form player which could potentially cost you games. Although I can't say whether this works at all because I take the easy solution if this happens.

Easy solution: Place them on transfer list and say good riddance; no player is bigger than the club. I'd rather have a decent youngster with great potential on a cheap long-term contract whose affection can be built over time than an overpaid loser who can't be arsed to play.

Yeah, i already thought in sell them and buy some new guys. It is probably what i will do. The thing is almost all subs are decreasing the happiness bar as far as i go on with matches. For example Higuain is seating for most matches. He starts in cup games and such and his bar is almost empty too. :|

Thanks for the input.

If you've got quality players but have no room for them in your team then it's best to make some money off them and get rid of them to bring in fresh blood into your squad. The younger players have a point to prove so won't get unhappy at not getting much games and they will develop at a relatively fast pace compared to the older players in your team.

I don't understand why you wouldn't play Higuain though. If he was in my team he would be first choice for striker every game, the guy can really make a goal out of nothing.
