First Time Shooting Problems

Ali

I'm talking specifically abouth those where a pass is played from the side, and you try to shoot first time. More often than not, I have found that if (for example) you pass from the left, the player will try and shoot with his left, even if he is right footed.
Now I'm fairly certain that doing it that way (in real life) is a lot harder than shooting with the foot opposite to where the ball is being played from, even if that foot is weaker.
This leads to a lot of miss hit shots that float over the bar, it's becoming a particular annoyance for me, don't know about others.

I agree but In real life If I received a pass from the right I would shoot with my Left because I am left footed. Maybe Id take a touch first

More often than not my players take an extra touch which is even more annoying. My biggest gripe with first time shooting is that if you miss time releasing the sprint button you do those stupid dinked lobs.

well well, if a pass comes from the right I'd shoot with a right foot as I'm right footed.

It's easier to "place the ball" by opening body (pass comes from left and place with right). But if you really want to hammer it with power (straight foot) I'd shoot a ball coming from right with a right foot outside-middle.

THIS of course doesn't remove the problem you point, I'd shoot with right if pass comes from left as I'm right footed.. or take a touch and shoot..
Of course if the pass is in IRL slower, then it's easy to hammer it hard with right foot as well (if you can run a bit to the ball).. heh anyway you guys know how to play as well I guess :)

I can understand if the ball is played in front of you, slowly. Then you can run up and give it a full crak with whatever foot you please. But if it comes to you quickly, from the same side of your favourite foot, if you try and it hit with that foot, then it's more likely to go about 8ft wide, than if you were to stick out the opposite foot and guide it in.
Hell, if the ball was coming from my right like that, even I'd think twice about hitting it with my right.... and my left foot is about as useful as paper scissors :D

probably depends on your players weak foot attributes. I usually don't have a problem with them, but I don't take them very often at all. I prefer taking a touch first just to be on the safe side in this game.

but shots are often soft or too strong?i just want more control over it.

I agree. I loved how good it was to crack in a 30 yard strike in the old PES games, the majority of shots hit in PES 2011 are balooned over the bar unless you are shooting with Ibrahimovic, D.Milito or Villa, which always seem to be a goal, or a spill by the keeper resulting in a tap in. That's the only problem I have with this year game. Offline of course.

Players still use their weaker foots, when it would be better to use their stronger one. I wish they could impliment a way so you can chose what foot to shoot with, if you desire. Because you can chose what foot to shoot with in real life. The game often shoots with the wrong foot.

EDIT: Where is Stuart Holden in your sig??? GET HIM IN NOW! :D
