Sequels/Remakes You'd Like to See?

What gaming sequels or remakes would you love to see for the current gen consoles? Those games that have long been forgotten. Here's a few of mine:

Streets of Rage - Side scrolling beat 'em up, would be good if they did something similar to Sonic 4 and released it as a downloadable game.

Speedball/Dead Ball Zone - Speedball was a game back in Mega Drive days, a futuristic sport game. Dead Ball Zone was a handball-like future sport game on ps1, where you could actually shoot people and even kill them in game. Wasn't a famous one, but I liked it.

Probotector -
Side scrolling Mega Drive era game with robots. Don't remember much, other than it was cool.

Destruction Derby/Demolition Racer -
Both ps1 games. Demolition Racer was the very much lesser known game, but I preferred it. Would obviously have to compete with the likes of Burnout though.

Fear Effect -
3rd person puzzler/shooter similar to the old Resident Evil games, was supposed to have it's second sequel on ps2 but it was cancelled.

Freedom Fighters - 3rd person shooter/squad game on ps2.

Primal Rage - Like Mortal Kombat but with Dinosaurs and giant gorillas.... need I say more?

The Dizzy games! I bloody loved them! "Treasure Island Dizzy" is aclassic. I'd like to see a next gen version of "Celtic Legends", an old Amiga game, it was bloody addictive.

They would be good to see in the current gen format. They'd probably be updated from side-scrollers to open planned (or whatever the correct name is). Alternatively, they could be upgraded to HD and released as downloads, like I understand is happening to other classics.

I've wanted to see Earthworm Jim and Killer Instinct re-makes for ages.

I remember playing Speedball on the PC through Steam. I think they released a new Speedball game on Steam a few years back but I've yet to check it out. It was a lot of fun.

I'd like to see another Fighting Force game. It was a fantastic co-op game that I had on Playstation but after revisiting it recently, the graphics really bring the game down.

I have Destruction Derby on my PS3 at the moment and I used to have it on the PS1. There's not a lot they could add to the game other than an improvement in graphics as the premise was rather basic - just smash into a load of cars, making them spin and such.

Uncharted 3 now please.

Also a remake of Killer Instinct would be so badass.

Ghouls and Ghost remake?

The Lost Vikings remake would be the best thing that has ever happened. I played this game non-stop. Only pausing to eat and breathe.

Too many games to choose from to be honest but here are my top most wanted.

Skies of Arcadia sequel: Easily the most enjoyable RPG I have ever played and one of the best games on the dreamcast.

Shenmue III: The first 2 titles are some of my favourite of all time, and it is a travesty that they were over looked and that the cliffhanger ending of Shenmue II has been left unresolved. They still look and play great today.

Illusion of Time/Terranigma Sequels or remakes: Two of the best titles in Enix put out in the SNES days, but of course due to the fact they do not have the words "Final", "Fantasy", "Dragon" or "Quest" they have been overlooked since the S-E merger. Action adventure RPG at its best, and dare I say possibly even better than Zelda:ALTTP....probably not but still they're great.

Chrono Trigger Remake: The best RPG ever? I'd argue that it is. Multiple endings, brilliant characters, enjoyable combat and an engaging storyline spread out across the millenia. It had a great sequel in Chrono Cross, but the former has never been matched. The DS port was ok but i'd love to see it get the HD console treatment.

Half-Life 2 Episode 3 or just simply Half-Life 3: Undoubtedly my favourite non-Nintendo franchise. I just want more.

River City Ransom XBLA/PSN sequel: Just like Megaman has had retro sequels I think it's about time RCR got more love. I never played the NES version but Barn wanks it off, and it was my most played game when I bought it on the GBA. Side scrolling beat em up action spliced with RPG levelling up and countless special moves. Great stuff.

BarnDoor

Witchfinder General
The Warriors in a full world where you can ride trains to gang territories at any time, and also some sort of new wrestling game from AKI in the spirit of No Mercy. Any federation will do, but a Legends game would blow minds.

I second The Warriors only as long as you'd be able to carry on the brawls while on the train, fight for a few stops, have the melee roll out three stops later and bowl right into another gang when you disembark.

GTA Vice City for me. Found that the best one from the whole series.

I was thinking more along the lines of games that have been long forgotten, not the recent games like GTA, FF, that we know will get sequels. Anyway, I have a suspiscion that the next GTA will be in Vicy City, since the last one was in Liberty City, mirroring the first GTA game on ps2.

Speedball/Dead Ball Zone - Speedball was a game back in Mega Drive days, a futuristic sport game.

Freedom Fighters - 3rd person shooter/squad game on ps2.

Had Speedball II on the Amiga & loved it. Creating a team of thugs to beat seven shades of shit out of your opposition. Damn good fun. Not sure how good it would be to see another, probably re-hashed version now though.

Excellent call on Freedom Fighters. Was one of my fave games on the PS2 & was gutted when Sony didn't do anything to allow you to play it on PS3. I remember the squad based control being really simple & the AI actually working quite well. The snow effects were good too. A do-over for the PS3 would be most welcome.

The music was ace on Freedom Fighters too:

By a chap named Jesper Kyd who has many famous video game credits to his name, including the Assassin's Creed series.

They were supposed to be doing a Freedom Fighters sequel in the last gen, but it must have been pulled.
