Sick Of All The Cheap Tactics!

Ali

It is happening again
It's really annoying me now. Almost EVERY player I play against, uses some form of cheap tactic against me. I played against one guy today, who didn't play a centre forward... just packed the midfield and played two high wingers. It shouldn't have worked, but it did - therefore, it's cheap. He got a lucky point out of it (thanks to 3 cheap goals, including a stupid fucking own goal).

Also, about 90% of the players I play against, abuse the give and go/one-two/whatever you call it. Now some people may say it's a fair tactic. The phrase "it's what barca do" is what I often hear (No it fucking isn't!!), but over-using and abusing something, ie doing it with every pass, is cheap, though some people won't admit it.

It wasn't that bad when I first started playing PES 2011, but now, it's as bad as Fifa! These reasons listed above are some of the very reasons I stopped playing Fifa completely, and now, it seems like PES is going down the shitter too..... wonderful.

I find it quite easy to stop that kind of play as your opponent becomes so much predictable. The problem is that, sometimes, the cursor selection let you down and let their strike get past the defense easily.

I know what you mean, everyone has messi or ashavin, plays that stupid low cross and taps it in, it's pathetic. Personally I refuse to use it. And people also slide you out everytime you go forward!
I prefer to play proper football I'm a man united fan and I've built the man utd team I'm not interested in messi, arshavin, ibrahimobiv and playing like an idiot. But seems some people just want to do the same thing over again and ruin the game

Playing without a centre forward is exactly what Barcelona does in the real world, so I'm not sure if that can be classified as a cheap tactic if the best in the sport are playing like that. Its not unrealistic and isn't really abusing any flaw in the system.

In contrast the stupid, 3-2-5 formations are unrealistic and silly. No team could realistically play with so many players up front and such an empty gap in midfield, but unfortunately its possible in PES.

I also got called out the other day for using cheap tactics (running the clock) when I was 1-0 up against a team with Ronaldo, Messi, Zlatan and Arshavin up front. I switched to my Plan B strategy as soon as I scored my goal, which basically means I play 5-4-1 catenaccio style. He had maybe 1 decent chance n the rest of the match.

Barcelona essentially play with 3 SS type players. The guy I played had NO attacking player down the middle. Just packed the centre midfield, and played 2 high wingers. Like I say, he got very lucky with the goals he scored. All he did was bomb passes towards the wingers.

I don't think that tactic was cheap, it was the strategy of exploiting long passes and poor defense ai that is the problem.

But if you look at any competitive online game, you'll see people take advantage of anything in the game if it helps them win.

fed up playing against people who play with 4 or 5 strikers (4-1-5) and just whack the ball as far up the pitch as they can, the stupid clearance when you are facing your own goal that reaches the other goal is pathetic, dont get me wrong im all for being able to clear the ball, but how many players have u ever seen facing their own goal clearing the crossbar of their opponents goal with 1 kick?

The clearances have been discussed before. Something about the ball physics + momentum generated by the animation = olympic gold medal worthy kick.
