It is happening again
I don't like the progression system online. You're already handicapped with the weapons you start off with. SMGs and shotguns are short range, LMGs are inaccurate, and that helghan rifle is an aquired skill.

Why can't they just give you the standard assault rifles to start?

Oh, and there's so many fucking campers! :realmad:

The camping isn't as bad as it was on Killzone2 where people would dump spawn points right inside your base. The Helghan rifle is actually a decent weapon.

I have a real problem with campers in games. If I know someone is camping, I HAVE to take them out. It's no use ignoring them and going to other areas of the map, because I know they're still there getting away with it.

I'm sure the rifle is good in the right hands, but I'm so bad at this game. I think it's because of the "looser" controls, I prefer how it handled in the last game.

The real camping problem is on Mawlr Graveyard when you're Helghan its quite easy to get pinned in your own base. I tend to snipe from the base, pick up easy kills that way. Rifle is best used as a ranged weapon looking down the sight, I've racked up a 1000 kills mainly staring down the sight.

First off, been way too long without activity in here, secondly, please god someone remove my bloody name from the thread title :facepalm:

Anyhow ... played Killzone3 solidly today (had day off work) and I've kicked the ass out of it, played around 14 games and finished first in all but one averaging about 40 kills a game. Mental. I'm patting myself on the back because Killzone is the first FPS I've ever been good at.

My only criticism having played the game so much now is that the Sniper Marksman class is too powerful. The tactician class is supposed to be able to uncover Snipers but that's absolute guff. Sony have made the damn Snipers too bloody efficient.

Look around 8100 kills to 4000 deaths at the mo with 209 hundred k in points. Get in!

Very rarely I complete games on higher difficulties.

Finished this game on Elite mode. It's that good.

MP is also pretty damn good. I think KZ2 is overall a better designed MP experience and the maps are better, but seeing as the only other FPS game people play is Black Ops, I'd take KZ3 any time. It's so much better.

The large maps in this game are atrocious. On the other hand, every single map in KZ2 was good (except HGH Industries).

I agree, Killzone2 multiplayer was tougher but more fun. I find on Bilgarsk and Mawlr I can easily rack up 50+ kills a game, which is mental for how short the game duration is.

I miss the Killzone2 custom games where they counted towards your score, you could set them up to last hours! Also, why did they remove the top percentile awards?! I'm damn sure I'd be in the top 1% this week. In fact, I'm going to check the website.

EDIT: Yet again the game data is "Temporarily Unavailable". Pah!

Bashed it out big time yesterday (insert fnar here) and beat my previous record of 67 kills to 17 deaths. 83 kills to 41 deaths. I don't think I'll be beating that in a hurry. Literally mortar bombed the fuck out of a load of useless Spaniards and Russians. Shotgun is ridiculously useful as well, why oh why I've not used it sooner, one shot kill when aimed at the mid-riff. Fooking get in!

Been rinsing the opposition tonight on KZ3. Hit over 10,000 points in one game using the Infiltrator class, that despite one of the arseholes having a shit connection where I would unload a clip into him only for him and take 10 seconds for him to die afterwards. Shame no one else is playing this on here, I've got my mate playing it again but be good to see Mike and even Ali get their 'zone' on. It's a damn good fast paced shooter. If that doesn't win anyone around then I'm buggered if I know what will ... money?

Aye I read that on Killzone.com last week, disappointingly its just a straight port rather than a reworking.

I've got a bit of gripe with KZ3 in that they have still haven't fixed the bloody Sniper bug. When using tactician a Sniper should appear on your secondary ability radar uncloaked but for whatever reason Snipers are completely invisible to the radar. So many people still only use Snipers and are utterly disinterested in playing the missions and with them being radar free the lesser skilled players snipe the arse out of the game. I scratch my head wondering why I have 8 snipers on my team when all I need is an engineer and some other tacticians to help me defend a spawn point.
