Shit peeps, how come I never played LBP before?
It's an amazing game, a welcome change from shooters and other pathetic forms of games out there.

That's probably the only one I'll download, never tried it before.

Might wait a few days/week though.

Downloaded Wipeout, pretty enjoyable romp I must say, I don't normally enjoy racing games but this I like. Downloaded Dead Nation as well, will play that later. Not really fussed with LBP to be honest. Couldn't see myself making time for it.

LBP's one of the best games this gen.

I've got Infamous & Quest For Booty from the EU store, Wipeout HD & Dead Nation from the US. Could be worse: people in Hong Kong and Korea haven't even got PSN back yet, never mind the store!

I know I'm in the minority, but I didn't think it was all that when I played it. If anything the best game I've played on the PS3 in terms of longevity and appeal would be a toss up between Killzone2 and Fallout 3.

I think I'm being a complete donut here but can anyone tell me where I go to get these free games and such?

When you sign into the store, on the far right is a welcome back thing, just click into that and it's all there. You have to download one thing and then you can choose your two games from the five. You can also get the psn+ there as well when you want to.

Yeah I've just found it. Problem I have now is that I don't have enough disk space for the games I've chosen. Infamous is around 7GB - the other game I chose was Dead Nation which isn't quite as bad. Does anyone have any ideas on how to free up some disk space?

What size PS3 do you have? Might not be worth it if its under 100GB

Try deleting old game data saved in Game Data Utility & Saved Data Utility.

The original 60GB one. I'll delete some stuff from the saved data utility but most of the stuff seemed to be 3 or 4mb at most. Is Infamous actually worth playing?

I thought it was shite but I know others on here thought it was alright. Seeing as you've got a 60GB, I wouldn't bother though.

I've got InFamous a couple of weeks ago. I couldn't play it properly. The camera scrolling is too fast, despite on Medium setting, which was the lowest. Gave me motion sickness.

One guy was looking to buy it, and I offered him a price, only to be cancelled by some bastard for saying InFamous is free on the PSN.

If you ever want to play some coop Dead Nation, let me know.

I'm having real trouble with this site at the moment. Pages are taking ages to load, and in some case aren't loading at all. I don't think it's my internet, other sites are fine.
Anyone else having problems, or and solutions to said problems?

I had that problem yesterday. I restarted my router and the pages not loading was fixed but still took a while to load. Try using a different browser and see if that fixes it aswell.

I downloaded Dead Nation yesterday and went to get LBP today but it doesn't seem to allow me to. I can't click into the section where the five games are, all I can click is the ps+ section. Any ideas? What am I doing wrong?

For people, like me, who were struggling to download the free games from the store, try this:

Go to your XMB>PlayStation Network>Account Management>Transaction Management>Services List>SCEA Promotions

I'm gonna do it another time as I'm downloading LBP now, says it's gonna take 160 minutes, fuck that.

I've got the same problem Alc but I've got a 60GB PS3. From what you've said, I don't know if there's anything else you can delete. It would be useful if Sony could send out complimentary blank bluray discs which we can download the game onto if that's possible but that's not likely to happen. Or maybe it could be possible to download it onto an external hard drive? It's rather annoying so I think I'm just going to stick with downloading Dead Nation and won't bother with Infamous.

I'm guessing you can't even play the games without 'installing' them first? That just seems farfetched to be honest, maybe Sony's way of raping money out of people as they are forced to invest in the larger GB hard drives?

It's nice to see the PS3 back up and running though, my brother is moving back home soon until he can find a career job he's after, probably abroad, and he owns a PS3 so it's going to be a bonus to play it now. That is before he departs, or I do, either way, of course.
