I'm guessing you can't even play the games without 'installing' them first? That just seems farfetched to be honest, maybe Sony's way of raping money out of people as they are forced to invest in the larger GB hard drives?

It's nice to see the PS3 back up and running though, my brother is moving back home soon until he can find a career job he's after, probably abroad, and he owns a PS3 so it's going to be a bonus to play it now. That is before he departs, or I do, either way, of course.

Well we have to download them before we install them as we don't have the disc. A message comes up when you select download saying that the download can't start because there isn't sufficient space on your hard drive.

Anyone know ways to free up more space? I've already deleted all videoes, songs, pics and data from games I don't play anymore but I still can't install Little Big Planet. any ideas ?

Seeing as its the original model, just buy yourself a new hard drive.

Yup, the hard drive on the original models is removable. Cheap hard drives deteriorate quickly though so avoid Terrabyte HDD's under £100.00

Ive dloaded lbp, infamous, wipeout, ratchet & clank, and dead nation.
dead nation is the worst of the bunch in my opinion.

Nope, it's definitely two free downloads, it even says on the thing 'two free downloads' but it has disappeared since I downloaded one of the games, and the psn+ option has disappeared since I downloaded that as well, but that is obviously understandable. I'll probably just email them tomorrow when I'm a bit more sober and sort it out so... too much shit has gone down tonight for me to think straight!

It's a fun arcadey game IMO. Not complicated, just simple and fun.

Yeah, infamous is pretty big apparently. I haven't d/ld it myself, but a PSN friend told me. I've already played it a while ago (as well as Dead Nation and LBP). I've only d/ld Wipeout, not sure I can be bothered with R&C, I haven't played the previous R&C games.

We all have PSN accounts here at home, me and my daughter american ones, and my wife an european psn.
We could get 2 games from each american psn, but for some reason we could d/load only one from the european psn.
Also we got 4 psp games LOL.

not sure I can be bothered with R&C, I haven't played the previous R&C games.

I've got it as a taster, as the games are good but I positively suck at the demos I've tried and wouldn't buy the full game based on my ability.

Wipeout is the only game I got. Yeah you're right, it is like being a kid again. I was shite at Wipeout when I was a kid, and I'm shite at it now. :laugh:

Are the free games a "step down" version from its disc counterpart? Such as, graphics are not as good/detailed, etc.
