pes 2012 my thoughts...

I'l start off by saying ive bought every pes since ps1 days when the ball used to make a ridiculous but loveable clonking noise at every kick paul gaisgoine used to run the midfield and Shearer belted them in from 30 yards ps2 was great too but since next gen has arrived I have remained optimistic despite dissapointment and stayed loyal to the brand they are ever so desperate to salvage and for some reason or another have not been able to find the right blend of quality gameplay, AI and online has been at a horribly unplayable level.

I try to defend the game and even tried switching to Fifa numerous times which failed inevitably, sticking to pes 2011 which was strangely addictive (online comps) but at the same time insanely bad to play with glitches and bugs at every move and should never been allowed for release on the public as was totally nowhere near the finished article.

So I play the demo, optimistic believing that all this shit ive read from pes lovers is true like I have done the previous years..... but oh dear slightly over enthusiastic! At first I enjoyed it player movement was excellent compared to previous, passing was passable (excuse the pun) an the general feel was ok some nice additions too to free kicks and throw ins etc. Then after 5 or 6 games the several changes implemented were very apparent and affected the game in several ways as well as old bad habits kicked in so we all ask....
--why do they run like crabs?
--have they not touched the gks since 08 same crap animations such as the superman punch looks ridiculous no need and the slow mo dives as the ball easily passes the gk at a very reachable distance
--jesus shooting what tha fuck man -- jesus -- we all know
--tackling how hard!! may take time to master but cavani made rio and vidic look like bramble and upson couldnt get near him whatsoever!
--who gives them team info ac milan better than man utd ?!
--chicarito stats 72 one better than last year he got 20 goals in pl hardest league but still crap..unreal

I'll be honest I can go all day i'm not looking for a perfect game as are the rest im sure but a playable game without these simple isues shouldnt be unattainable. I realise this is just a demo but I cannot see for the life of me how these issues are going to be fixed within the next month or so before release as surely they can see these have been problems for many years.

I will wait till the final demo before i decide to buy but will take alot of convincing as like alot of other long term pes fans will fall by the wayside and just end up quitting the football genre and just playing the new cod or battlefield instead which aint so bad good luck Konami and remember this is opinion im entitled to it and sure people will agree and add to it peace slags

What's your point Mak?

That his opinion is supposed to be hidden and forgotten in one of those piss threads you mentioned?

You said you'll wait for the final demo before you decide, but again the final demo is still a demo. You'd be better off trying the real game before you decide in any case.

Regarding the team stats (during team selection process), its not like they debated on those numbers, its just some sort of average of the players in the team. I know its ridiculous to have AC Milan rated better than Man U in every department (attack, defence, speed, etc), but thats more a fault of the player's individual stats. Some players who have been over the hill for a long while still maintain their decent stats (Zambrotta, Pirlo, Jankulovski, etc). Man U have a lot of youngsters in their team so it was to be expected that they have lower rated players in PES.

Of course, it would have been nice to have some additional stat that belongs to each specific team, so that Konami could balance the slightly unrealistic difference in player stats between for example Milan and Man U.
