Hi guys, i have noticed that there has been many complaints such as " when i shoot it just goes straight towards the keeper ". So i thought i would tell you how to place your shots. In the free training mode recently i discovered that if you want to place your shots you must hold the left analog stick up or down and press the shoot button much like the way you took penalty's in PES 2011. I recommend you try it and let me know how you get on. Also i have not seen any other tutorials on how to shoot in PES 2012 so i hope i can get some credit, thanks guys :D

How does holding the L stick up or down solve the issue of the ball going straight at the keeper? Or going right when I aim left, which also happens?

I think he is saying L stick up for left shot, L stick down for right shot.....instead of L stick left for left and vice versa.

lol ..? ok when you approach the keeper push the stick up or down and press shot. you need to hit shot early to not turn in direction. if you are still stuck im willing to help

Really?? Why in the name of everything that's left and right in this world would Konami program the L/R shooting to respond to up and down commands? It makes no sense. Next you're going to tell me to improve passing, just hold the controller upside down, lol.

if we are playing a camera left to right, we would already be using L stick up for left shot and vice versa. Not sure this post is adding anything that we are not already intuitively doing. Connor - are you suggesting something different than this?

I don't know but online it seems that no matter what I do the shot goes to the keeper 90% of the time, unless Im on a one on one situation that I could round him. Offline its different, I could aim and shoot in the direction I want but online is a different world. Dunno why! OHH I find this to be the case on PKs too but not at the 90% clip as the in game shots, maybe its when I direct the shot that is affecting where it goes. I must be doing something wrong ....

people cant be doing this already tbh because if they were doing it then they wouldn't be complaining about hitting it straight at the keeper almost every shot.

PES 2012 shooting is f***ing terrible.

when I hit a shot from more than 30 yards out it floats over the bar like a helium balloon.

CREATORS OF PES,FUCKING FIX IT OR FACE A LARGE DECREASE IN SALES.

Mate I think you actually must be correct :cheer::huh:

I'm going to give this more effort tomorrow but if this is correct (which it appears to be as I have been trying it for the last few minutes in training )
,well - 1. Konami are fucking retards - and only they could program something into the game which is so frustrating and awkward:realmad:.

2. - they better fix it for 2013 or I won't be buying it.

The opening poster is 100% correct. I have been saying this (a 90 degree to where you're aiming, so up or down as a direction) for quite some time and no one bothered to try it. Instead, everyone complains.

Why is everubody still defending konami? Shooting is broke.shots just dont go were you want them to go. And im not tslking about shot under presure or stuff. Shot were your alone on the keeper going in the other corner then you push. Or shot were the player has plenty of time and still shoot it n the other corner. How many goals you score thinking oh i wanted toshoot in the other corner.

Pes 2012 had a lot of potential untill the released the retail version

Shooting is different in this game - I can also see why people would call it broke, as the solution is unintuitive - but if you actually read and pay attention to what people write in this forum (and better yet, try it out for yourself) you will realize that placing shots in the corners can be done with ease.

Heck, I even posted a video clip in the aforementioned thread to prove just that.
