Or get a new pointless mode like "Become a Groundsman"

Mode will include:-

Making sure the pitch is ready for the next game, with new dynamic sprinkler engine.

Cutting and rolling the grass

Filling diverts in the turf.

And throwing evil comments at opposing teams as they warmdown after a match.

looking forward to it but there will probably be scripting in this as well.

Joking aside, I just hope they improve the shooting as it shoots where I press my player to.

shooting is actually perfect- now everyshot isn't a roberto carlos thunderbolt. It's not too powerless and not too much rockety. Players like Shimizu can't shoot like c.ronaldo atlast

I'm sorry abu, but in my opinion shooting is completely horrible this year. I can never ever execute a shot with a fair amount of power unless it's a first time shot no matter who i use, or which leg or how much power which direction etc. Not even when i'm running at full speed using someone with 86 in kicking stats not being pressured by anyone from just outside the box can i make a decent shot. It's really pathetic.

Yes shooting works - if i make first time shots the shot is completely insane. A right footed player can all of a sudden make a first time rocket with his left foot even though he has 3 or 4 in weak foot stats.

I agree with Rasmus, power shooting is poor this year. First time shots you can hit like a rocket albeit when I do it with my players it usually goes out for a throw in, but if you have a good player who can hit powerful strikes while dribbling, the likes of Ronaldo, you don't you just get this lofty floaty shot happening, which sometimes goes in but I'd be bollocking the keeper if i was on the receiving end of them.

Those 2 centimeter passes happen when yor have zero assist , add atlest 2 assist bars tO your passing and they don't happen anymore. It's not like zero assist bars makes it really manual anyway, just more frustrating.

And every time when the score is 1-1 and i have a last minute opportunity it's ALWAYS a shooting opportunity from just outside the box. my player is no way near being pressed so i shoot and the keeper can almost walk one step to the side and pick the ball up. SO frustrating. And it's not because my controller doesn't work or something. I spend hours in training, using many players including messi, ronaldo del piero etc. And the problem continues

The patch will improve the goalkeepers, introduce passing assistance lobbies, tweak the Speed Merchant skills card - and a number of fixes, including bugs experienced on the game plan screen.

Jon also confirmed there will be a future DLC release, to update the squads, after the January transfer window.

Hello PES community, just a quick email/post to inform you about the upcoming update that we are planning to apply for PES 2012 on PlayStation3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC versions.
As a result of continuous feedback from our users we’ve once again worked on certain improvements to the performance of goalkeepers, this time stopping balls from long-distance shots.
We’ve also added the option to search for opponents based on their pass support settings, which will replace Friendly Match or Player Match (depending on version) in Quick Match mode. The Speed Star skill card will also be adjusted to improve realism.
We have also been able to identify some minor issues which occur on very specific occasions. Our commitment is to continue to deliver the best football experience to all our fans, so the next patch will also fix the following:
* Issues with one or more players given a red card in a match, but 11 players available after loading formation
* In the myPES application, we have corrected the situation where a draw result is given after win/lose on the penalties
* Occasionally meaningless numbers were appearing when accessing the Community menu from the Community Card
* Formation data in the Formation settings on the Game Plan screen can only be saved from the P1 controller
* Game data can be saved/loaded for both sides if you exit the Data Management menu while your opponent is saving/loading the game data and then enter the Data Management menu again on the Game Plan screen
* Also, some situations where the game was hanging out or freezing have been solved. Included those on the Online, Become a Legend and Edition modes, and while selecting some Game Plan combinations.

Those are 3 of the most important things in a football game! If you add "passing" to that list what do you have left to say is good about the game? And the passing IS broken so you CAN add that to the list!

Do you really think they are going to fix the fundamental parts of the game with a mere patch?

we could all agree that the shooting is not right, as for the other things I listed all they have to do is tweak them, I don't think that would require too much work so it should be OK for this patch... With that said, they're not addressing these issues so its a mute point. Cheers.

I'm so dissapointed with PES this year. All they had to do was tweak the shooting and keepers in patch 1.00 where everything felt free and minimal scripting and it'd be better than patch 1.02.
But KONAMI had to go the long way and make the shooting worse in patch 1.01 and make everyteam park the bus in park 1.02.

Knowing KONAMI, patch 1.03 will be even worse. Patch 1.02 everyteam on superstar difficulty plays the same and there is little goal variation. Patch 1.03 might make every team win everymatch and make them play like Barca and it'll be probably horribly scripted.
I've noticed as everyupdate of PES comes out, it tends to be harder and more scrited

would be nice if referees actually go back to book the player after an advantage, pretty annoyed with all these people online taking out my players to stop me from going forward and getting away with it because i still got the ball...hurts to say but fifa is way better in that aspect

LYC10: I played a couple of matches of fifa 11 against my mate the other day, and yes i noticed this as one of the first things as well. In addition it is even possible to make a decent shot from outside the box when you're not under pressure, and there's no AI taking completely control over your players all the time. Still i'm a pes fan boy. - funny thing about fifa: if i switch the controls to the same as in pes, i can beat my mate who plays it on a weekly basis and i haven't played fifa since 99
