The whole no.10 thing is embarrasing and annoying! Sort it out Konami!I have just managed to sign Cristiano Ronaldo, after 3 seasons of trying, for my ML offline Juventus team. Only problem is, just 2 games in he is kicking up a fuss because apparently he wants the no. 10 shirt. It seems the no. 7 shirt he is famous for is no longer his favourite number :huh:

I would much prefer to keep him as no.7, but I am prepared to give him the no.10. Only problem is, Krasic wears the no.10, and he kicked up a big fuss to get that from Del Piero. So I just want to know, has anyone been successful in ignoring a players request, or will I risk giving him the maximum unhappiness (and therefore always be off form)? Also, is Krasic going to then be upset? His OVR rating is very similar to Ronaldo's so I doubt he will be too chuffed at the swap.

Has any one dealt with a similar situation and kept the players happy? Cheers

Try giving him the squad number 10, then a week or so later change it back to 7 and see if he complains.
I haven't tested this hypothesis, but I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't work and he comes back demanding number 10 again as KONAMI always find a way to spoil things

^ I just told him "don't fret over a number" and he came again the week after - same answer and he stopped. Tried it with 2 different players and they didn't lose any loyalty. I wanted an other player to wear it - not someone who comes in to the office and demands it! It's really annoying especially with a player like Ronaldo who in real life would rather wear number 7 than 10.

I'd give the complaining sod the number 56 shirt and tell him to stop moaning and pass the ball once in a while, the greedy little trouble maker. Is that an option?

I have only ever had this with a few players but on reflection it seems it's best to please your better players. If Ronaldo wants the number and is better than Krasic, which I assume he is, give him the number.

Thanks for the advice guys. I decided to take the above advice and it seems to have worked, he now doesn't seem bothered. Wish I had done that with Krasic- taking the 10 shirt off Del Piero was embarrassing!!! :mellow:

The pointless crap is bad, but its the 'scripting' thats really taking the fun out of ML. Its just really badly implemented, some of the goals conceded are beyond frustrating and just not fun. If I have a great team and play well, I want to win, I dont want some ridiculous evening up of the game to help the CPU sneak a draw or win, or to play boring posession football with little attacking for 70 minutes to make sure the CPU dont get any chances.

This is the first time I have ever considered quiting a master league, and I consider myself a pro evo addict, having done about 20+ ML seasons on every Pro Evo since about PES2. :no:

And not to mention unrealistic!!!! Del p has played for Juve for what, 17-18 years? and Krasic joined the squad 2-3 years ago (depending of the number of seasons you've played of course)
I know someone will have to fill out his shoes when he takes of his boots for good, but as long as he is in the club, NO ONE will have a chance of touching number 10. Konami really needs to address these things. How many times have we seen players in real life just being changed from number 10 to 34 because a new signed player is whining?

We've seen the opposite however: Zamorano got a shirt that said "1+8" when both he and Ronaldo played for Inter. C. Ronaldo got number 9 instead of number 7 in real madrid because Raul was still there. Beckham started with number 10 for Man u - he couldn't get number 7 because of Cantona and so on.. I doubt that any player has seriously knocked on the managers door demanding the number 10 shirt while an other player had it.

- Why don't you just give del p number 10 back ? :)

Know it's frustrating coxy. I've played it since the glory ISS pro days, and i'm struggling more than ever as well. And i hate to say it, but i'm not as entertained playing ML as i've always been in PES.
