Shooting in PES 2012

Shooting is different in this game - I can also see why people would call it broke, as the solution is unintuitive - but if you actually read and pay attention to what people write in this forum (and better yet, try it out for yourself) you will realize that placing shots in the corners can be done with ease.

Heck, I even posted a video clip in the aforementioned thread to prove just that.

I don't care - why don't KONAMI ever write it in the manuel instead of us wating our time doing repetetive tests. I put D-PAD AOF anyway as I use it for tactics

Were did konami say you have to use the d pad to aim? D pad used for tactics or movement. So you say you cant aim with the stick? Come on now. Stop making up excuses for konamis mistakes.

Everytime im shooting now is with the usage of the right trigger before the shot. sometimes u dont have the time to use it, so im shooting like the @OP suggested. Yet, im sometimes amazed with the dumb shooting system. Yeah people, I think we should get to the point where all of us actually agree about being able to place your shots, but why noone agrees that the game lack beautiful goals? and sometimes your player shots in retarded way? and sometimes you actually did everything to place your shot to the left, yet your player insist on shooting a baloon to the right? Stop defending KONAMI, they had so much time to patch it yet they failed. They also failed in dealing with the cheaters, which is top1 issue right now, atleast online.

Uhm - no? This is not a question of right/wrong or defending/slamming.

I'm simply pointing out to you that the question you raise has been the subject of debate already and different solutions have been proposed.

I'm not mad at all (have no reason to be), but since I am indeed able to place shots I have to disagree when someone implies you cannot. However I agree that it's unnecessary complicated and the lack of instructions in the manual doesn't help.

Hi guys, i have noticed that there has been many complaints such as " when i shoot it just goes straight towards the keeper ". So i thought i would tell you how to place your shots. In the free training mode recently i discovered that if you want to place your shots you must hold the left analog stick up or down and press the shoot button much like the way you took penalty's in PES 2011. I recommend you try it and let me know how you get on. Also i have not seen any other tutorials on how to shoot in PES 2012 so i hope i can get some credit, thanks guys

I just hit a thunderbolt with Ordaz from distance.. I am loving it!!!

Whenever I press right or left to 90 degrees, it just goes wide.
Also when I am in a tight angle in a one on one and I want to finish it in the nearest post, I press right and it still goes wide to the right so it doesn't work in all occasions

It was the same in PES 2011. Anyway, atleast it doesn't have a messed up penalty system
