PlayStation Vita

First Party Launch Titles for Feb 22nd:

Uncharted: Golden Abyss
WipEout 2048
Reality Fighters
Little Deviants
ModNation Racers: Road Trip
Everybody’s Golf
Escape Plan
Gravity Rush
Hustle Kings
MotorStorm RC
Top Darts
Super StarDust Delta

There are definitely 3 or more titles I want on that list (Gravity Rush, Uncharted, Escape Plan with the possibility of wipeout) and that's without the third party launch titles which have yet to be formally announced.

I think my pre-order is assured.

edit - Some of the AR games look great fun (ie Pulsar):

If anyone is still interested in this, Amazon are giving a free 8gb memory card with all pre-ordered Vita and a select game for £15, so for around £235 you get the Vita, a biggish memory card and the likes of Virtua Tennis/Rayman Origins/Lumines….not bad, I’m tempted to get it at launch now with Rayman.

I beg your pardon?
Do I want one?

Can I afford one?

Yes, they look practically like their console counterparts, so really why would I want to buy the same game twice.......i held off buying one for this reason. I'll wait until unique experiences only available on a handheld and new software starts coming out.....and a pricedrop.

It is happening again
Anybody got one? Because I am slightly tempted. Just need to gauge opinion before I am able to become slightly more tempted. :)

The only thing putting me off buying this is lack of Pokemon, because we all know that Pokemon is the greatest handheld experience of all time. If they got Pokemon, I would no doubt get one, but I can't see it happening unfortunately, so I think i'll stick to Nintendo handhelds.

Has anyone else played on these yet? Oh that's right you haven't because it hasn't come out.

:smug:

I played one on Thursday in work. My boss got one for his birthday.

It's good, but I don't see the appeal as I have a PS3. I don't regularly travel and I certainly wouldn't play that at home instead of my PS3 on a 32" television.

The only problem is that there will be a lack of original games, most of the ones which are set to come out are just spin offs of the console games but with the gimmick of the touchscreen.

It came out on Wednesday matt, and i played one in GAME about three weeks ago.

Played Wipeout and Uncharted. Looked great, was really light and the sticks were quality. That beings aid, nothing that would convince me to drop that amount of money on it especially as you're just playing lesser console games so far barring one or two (like Army Corps of Hell, little deviants), with only a few download games being unique and special (Gravity Rush, Escape Plan)

Original titles you can only experience on the device are what are needed, not ports of console games with "but, but you can play it on the toilet or bus".

A port of the new Call of Duty will be released in november, people expect that to help this explode, I don't but that;s because I don't see the appeal of CoD let alone on a handheld device...
