E3 2012

Trailers/Videos from Day 0

Trailers from the three other big conferences not yet posted in this thread

EA

Crysis 3
I love post apocalyptic settings where nature has taken over (Enslaved), rather than grey and brown worlds after they've been destroyed (Fallout) and this goes for the former. Looks visually great but i'm not a huge fan of the series.

Medal of Honour Warfighter

It's trailers like this that makes me wish I had a passion for the FPS genre. I'm assuming most of this is to do with the multiplayer aspect (loads of different countries to play as) or maybe that will be part of the single player mode too. Some great looking weaponary, like the bomb that shoots attachments to the wall and the mini RC tank.

Single Player gameplay in Somalia looks as you'd expect, bullet time for certain encounters too, don't know if this is new for the series.

Lost Planet 3

Never been particularly interested in this series, and there's nothing in this that has changed that opinion tbh

Ubisoft

Watch Dogs (Must Watch!)

A new IP at E3! Sandbox game where you play a hitman/techwhiz/hacker. Looks great, and definitely one i'll keep my eyes on. The cell blocking, phone hacking, camera recognition/traffic light hacking etc all look great.

Far Cry 3

Looks graphically stunning, large free roam world as usual.

Rayman Legends (Wii U)

I loved Origins so this will be bought day 1 with teh Wii U for me, the rhythm based level looks great.

Zombiu (Wii U)

Pure CG trailer with a gritty version God Save the Queen sung playing in the background. Zombie outbreak in London with you taking teh role of a new survivor each time you die and having to track down the previous guy now in zombie version to kill to get your stuff back, hope for gameplay from Nintendos conference tonight)

Sony

Beyond: Two SOuls

From the creators of Heavy Rain and starring Ellen Page, the trailer gets very interesting from 3 minutes onwards. I'm thinking demon/possession style storyline incoming

The Last of Us

Looks all kinds of awesome,a nd knowing Naughty Dog it will be quality.

Playstation Allstars Battle Royale

Super Smash Bros with a line up nowhere near as interesting imo

God of War Ascension

You know what to expect..

Assassins Creed 3: Liberation (Vita)

More than likely a must buy for my Vita, looks great

BELIEVE
I was quite disappointed with the Black Ops 2 exhibition if truth be told.

I love Black Ops, and hell, I still play it now, and in fact have been enjoying it a lot recently. I'm quite hooked again, which is a wonderful thing for a game that's now a couple years old. But what disappointed me most during the Black Ops 2 E3 gameplay video was the 'x-ray' vision nonsense. Sure it was demonstrated in campaign mode, but I'll be a little annoyed if they've implemented it into the online multiplayer too, thus ruining the entire experience. For anyone who didn't catch this 10 minute+ video, it's essentially just a gun that can see through walls and pillars, and can also shoot through them to kill the enemy on the other side. These are the aspects which I despise, as it takes power away from the player in the respect that when playing online, I want it to be person vs. person, and the team with the better players win - not the team with the most gadgets and electronics win. It should be all about the players, which is why the original Black Ops was so enjoyable for me - and still is - while Modern Warfare 3 isn't.

It is happening again
Last of Us looks great.

Beyond looks interesting too. Would need to see gameplay for that one, but I enjoyed Heavy Rain, so if it's anything like that I won't be disappointed.

AC3 is like AC:Rev, but now you can climb trees. Will probably get it but not straight away.

I don't need to watch the God of War vid, I know what to expect, and I know I will get it at some point.

Watch Dogs looks cool. So that's 2 great looking titles with dogs being involved in the title. Though, given that it's by Ubisoft, I'm sure they'll ruin it by with yearly sequels.

You're not wrong! Really like the dynamic nature of the AI, especially the girl. If they can maintain that throughout the game then it'll be a winner.

I'm reigning in my expectations as right now i'm unsure whether it is "dynamic" or whether some of the actions of the girl/enemy AI are purely scripted events, (the stabbing the guy in the back especially, it seems as if there is no way round getting blind sided) but it does indeed look amazing.

I see where you are coming from, but would counter by saying that the choice of where to wait appeared to be made by the player. Worst case scenario, I can envisage some QTE's.

Still, it's something that looks new and interesting & makes a nice change from the annual re-hashes.

Yes that's what someone suggested in the comments section, it also seems like a rather linear game to be honest. But overall the fluidity looks great and that's what I've come to look for in a game now, AC3 and the new Splinter Cell seem to be great for that.

Potentially linear, yes, but with the potential for multiple routes. Hopefully.

Is Last of Us a downloadable title PS3?

It'll be a full retail game.

Games that impressed me so far are The Last of Us, Ass Cream III and Watch Dogs. Not watched the Microsoft conference yet (though I'm only looking forward to seeing Tomb Raider from that).

Ubisoft would've "stolen the show" if their presentation isn't so dire. Fuck me that Toby guy is an annoying prick. And you don't kick things off with Flo Rida you numpties.

Hitman Absolution was impressive as I expected it to be. But there;s a game that impressed me too. The Last of Us. I never expected that much. Looks great.
