To be fair to Dundon's he makes some very good and inarguable points. Since the switch to next Gen PES has been garbage. A mish mash of confused understanding on how to produce a game worthy of following PES6. PES2013, is the most simplistic PES since PES6 and whilst some people don't like that, its easily the most enjoyable.

But was a history lesson really needed? We know since PES 2008 they havent delivered. I found a lot of it random and unnecessary to the talk of the PES 2013 demo

Surprised to see you all so negative about it tbh. I for one think the gameplay is far better than that of FIFA 12, and much much better than PES 2012.

What gives?

We didnt expect it to take 5 years to produce this game, yes it's good and we should be thankful they've delivered but this gameplay should have been PES 2008/2009

- the ribery spin don't overwrite the roulette and more skills
- add national super cups, confederation cup, pre-season tournaments.
- second division, third kit

Well this is the year they moved Seabass to a more 'executive' position isn't it?

Sounds like he has been holding the series back for the past 4 or 5 years - this new producer knows what's up.

PES 2013 player stats -
http://pesdb.net/pes2013/index.php?sort=Overall_rating&order=d

Whats interesting is that in the 'Leagues' section, it says Brazilian League and Brazilian Championship :shifty:

Oh good to know they're up to date, with Drogba at his new club.
You would hope (but not expect) this to be fixed for release date.

Also, Robben and Ribery still vastly overrated.

Why is Niang at Cluj.... and seeming Cluj is full of French players? Must be a cockup by the database makers.

Lambert and Lallana are 2 of Southampton's worst rated players? If these are correct, and stay the same when Konami release the full game, then the researchers at Konami need sacking!

That is interesting, I wonder if the Brazilian Championship relates to the State championships or the cup?

Nzogbia is the same as Silva

Edit:

Giggs is too! ha.

Bosingwa 86? Gallas 87? DONI 86?! My word :myword:

I'd rather the stats were fucked up than the gameplay though. As long as the gameplay's of a good standard, which is looking encouraging with this demo..

Can always edit stats using resources such as the brilliant PESSTATSDATABASE.

Do you really think you should have to though? Back in the days I use to love editing every single detail...I just don't have the time to do that anymore. Surely online will still be messed up too.

Nah, you'd expect Konami to put their fair share of hours in watching games so they can put accurate stats in, giving a good representation of a player's ability based on their real life form. By having a quick glance at that site, they quite clearly haven't.

I used to enjoy editing back in the PS2 days too. Whether I still have the patience for that thing, I don't know. Never even touched the Edit mode on PES 2011 or 2012.

The problem with editing your own stats is that it's not effective online.

True, good point. Reason I hadn't considered that, before posting, is that there wasn't any online play back then when PES was in its finest hour.

The database is kinda messed up with the teams as all the players that play for Caen for some reason play for Cluj as Caen were relegated so should be removed instead. Also, Blackburn is Anderlecht and Wolves are named some other team too

Also Drogba is at Chelsea because the transfer wasn't confirmed during the preview code which is when the stats were updated. I expect a stat update before release too. Also, Van Persie, Messi and Robben have a skill called the 180 drag. Is that the scoop turn or something

Nzogbia is the same as Silva

Silva is 89 when put in LMF or RMF. A reason why overall ratings can confuse you

The overall stats are bullshit, you need to analyse invidual stats rather than this overall stat nonsense. They should do away with it along with the shit letter rating.

^ Yup. Personally i never look at the overall. My reasons for selecting the respective players are entirely based upon which stats i find relevant according to what position they play. That's why i hate playing pes with my F**A friends from the dark side - they ONLY look at overall, instead of actually taking a look at each players stats..

Its barely worth spending time picking holes in PES2013 because compared to PES2012 its chalk and cheese. With the overwhelming consensus being in agreement, just enjoy PES2013 for what it is. Nothing wrong with debating what you don't like or even coming up with suggestions.

I thought he was talking shit to me because of the thing I said about shooting but he was talking ´bout Eagles. My bad,

Most people don't play players out of position because the overall rating goes down like it has any actual bearing on the game play.

^ Okay i admit that i don't often play players out of position myself. But that's because of the moaning after the game introduced in pes 2012 :)

I can not stress this enough - this HAS to stop in pes 2013. We see it often, that a player can at least play a handfull of matches during a season where he doesn't play his normal position. In real life the manager would just tell the player to shut the f**k up or leave the club.
