Lag (offline) and online ruins PES13

8 / 10 games i play online or off just LAG and LAG and LAG totally ruining the experience.

when the game is lagging is just feels like you are playing PES 12 like all of the new features that have been added to the game dissapear and you are playing nothing more than a stiff unplayable mess.

if this keeps up i might aswell go back to playing PES 12 as LAG makes PES 13 seem like the exact same game PES 12 was

Out of the 20 or so games online so far... 0 games had lag. Check your internet connection.

@OP ; If your suffering from frame loss while playing offline modes against the AI, then you should check your PS3 because the game is buttery smooth on 360, PS3 and PC in offline modes.

Check to ensure your PS3's air holes are not blocked with dust and ensure the PS3 is sitting in a well ventilated area to reduce heat build up. Next ensure the game is installed to the HDD and that the disc is not dirty or damaged.

Sounds like your PC/Console is packing in.....cos PES 2013 runs smooth as butter. Online and off.

Or perhaps you are suing an odd TV/monitor that does not deliver 60Hz?

PES only runs at 60Hz and nothing else.

Forget what the others above me have suggested....

Here is what you have to check.

1) Do you have any other games running on the PS3 that freezes offline and online

2)Can you play the games at 60hz on your existing TV

3)Can you access online games easily without lag...

If you have answered yes to all the above then you are one of us who are in Konami's "Dead Spot".

The truth is that Konami has never ever fixed the online issues. Therefore only a handful of users can play lagfree.

Do not bother to kill yourself about frame issues and that bullshit ....PES online is just shit.

I am also curious of why you didn't know this in the first place....it is plastered almost everywhere...including in threads on this very site.

I refute all of the above!

PES 2013 online plays smooth as silk and can be a right fucking buzz....better than anything else.

(it can be more aggravating than anythign else as well depending on who you play)

The game lags (skips) for me while playing offline as well on the PS3. say once in 10 matches.
When it lags in a particular match ,it lags 2-3 times and stops skipping from the next match.

i have no lag offline on ps3 720p , but there are loads of games which do lag on ps3 offline

problem is porting from 360 and HD


the ps3 can't cope well with HD play in SD and no game lags

I think its got something to do with the internet connected to your ps3 while you are playing offline....the game gets stuck on the top menu when it is connected to the internet.
It could just be people logging in and logging out or any sort of minor data streaming in the background that leads to skips

i was talking general , theres about 30 games on ps3 which lag offline and pes is not one of them , pm me if you want the list

what do you mean skipped ? , have you install pes 2013 to the harddrive?

Yep I have skipped in the sense
the frame rate doesn't drop below 30 but the frame totally vanish it is like you have a slider of frame from 0-100 while you are playing the game the frames are moving 0,1,2,3,4 etc there comes a point when it something like 22,23,24,25,29,30,31,32 etc will occur.
It is not lag...this is something else...

Do you also have sound crackling? Because this problem seems to be solved after the update.
