(Mods feel free to merge these posts but I thought the wall of text would be annoying, so I broke it up a bit)
I've noticed plenty of movement about Steaua and Basel kits recently. Can we edit the kits of the 4 fake Europa League teams? I'm talking Adidas stripes as well as importing a PNG.
Also what are the other fake teams for? Do they ever appear anywhere? I went and made them all into Europa League teams before I read that it was only the bottom four that showed up.
Hi,
I have a question:
My file was always unreadable when I tried to decrypt it using bruteforce.
So I asked my brother if he can do it for me at his PC. He did and sent me the decrypted file.
So I think it was a problem with my PC because at his PC the decryption worked well.
After having received the decrypted file I wanted to go on converting it to a PC file on my PC again but it said something like "source missing"
Does that mean that you can only decrypt, convert and edit the file using the same computer?
Thanks in advance for your replies!
schitz... thanks for the info...We can indeed edit the last 4 fake ones. The way to do it is by switching the league structure and temporarily swapping them with teams that do appear in game, so they appear as normal and are fully editable. You can create kits the way you usually do with the ingame editor. Then you can swap them back out for the original teams. I recommend switching them with say, 4 Bundesliga teams.
You just open the editor, go to Stadiums & Leagues, and then slightly towards the right, at the bottom, there is a League Structure button. Click that, then find the league you want to put the hidden teams into in the dropdown menu on the right, and.....
Hmm, no, it doesn't matter which computer you edit the files on. I've been looking through converted PS3 EDIT.bin files and I don't even have a PS3. Is that the console you're using?
People seem to have more problems with the decrypting process on PS3 (myself included when I tried converting the J-League DLC EDIT.bin)
Might be worth asking 7oy about it.
I don't have the imported game, no. All I have is an EDIT.bin file from the Japanese game itself, which means I can export players from it to add to PES. So yes, the Winning Eleven EDIT.bin works in w!LD@'s editor too.
The J-League DLC EDIT.bin file I have is from a Chinese Winning Eleven patch. All of the J-League 1&2 teams are included, but J-League player names are in Chinese. Shirt names are in English which makes it easy to find the right players. All of the DLC players have relinked faces to presets which aren't in PES, so you have to fix appearances if you're using any of these players in your save.
But aside from that - stats, player skill cards, physique settings, motions, player growth types are all exactly as they would be in Winning Eleven if you import to PES.
Muta, in the J-League thread, has posted conversions of all of the J-League presets in scan form, so PS3 users can use the texture files to re-create the presets from the DLC. There is a lot of fiddling that you need to do - reconfiguring the w!LD@ editor to allow hidden teams to be read and so on, but when you're bit of a PES nerd like me, it's worth it.
In the end though, there were only 5-7 players who I needed to export for my PES save (which affects all of the default leagues, Bundesliga and Championship) in the end. That was Mu Kanazaki (Nurnburg), Genki Omae (Fortuna Dusseldorf), Rodrigo Souto (Nautico), Renatinho (Coritiba) and Rene Santos (Coritiba) - there are also players like Jeci (who could still be on Coritiba's books, not sure) and a couple more Brazilian players who might be worth exporting.
Apparently the rosters are up to date as of the end of the 2012 season, so a couple of months out.
For more info, and pretty much everything you need to know (including a link to the EDIT.bin in PC format) look here; http://forums.evo-web.co.uk/showthread.php?t=70624

You just open the editor, go to Stadiums & Leagues, and then slightly towards the right, at the bottom, there is a League Structure button. Click that, then find the league you want to put the hidden teams into in the dropdown menu on the right, and scroll down to find the teams in the box on the left. Then you just drag them over the teams you want to replace, and save it. Then you move your save back to your console as usual, and they appear in those teams' places.
Then you can change kits, make sure you're happy with how they look etc. and go back to the w!LD@ editor and swap the original teams back. It's a little bit of a hassle but it's worth it really.
Then what I did after that, because the logos of the teams are fake, and there aren't enough slots to replace every one, is change the fake teams' logos to the national flag of the league they're in. (Russian flag for Rubin, Romanian for Steaua etc.) - the only problem is there isn't a Belarusian flag for BATE, so I just used the one spare slot to put their logo into the game.
EDIT: Oh, and the other fake teams are just fake versions of the Copa Libertadores teams, I believe. I think they show up in the South American master league. I haven't checked, but that's what I've read a few times.
In the editor folder, there's a config file (in text format) called "editor.exe" - you open that in Notepad, and you have to change the lines
<add key="countOfExtraTeamsInOptionFile" value="0" />
Change the 0. The highest number can be 284. It's just so you can read PC patches with more teams added etc. - it doesn't affect console versions of the game (except the J-League DLC thing) and
<add key="loadExtraTeamsWitInGameIdEqaulsToZero" value="false" />
Needs the value changed to "true" - then you save the config file and re-open the editor. As I say, there isn't really any benefit when it comes to editing the console EDIT.bin file.
But your plans - what console do you have, and where are you based? If I could get Winning Eleven (as well as the Japanese DLC) working on my UK Xbox, I'd do that next year. I know there have been tutorial videos for getting the DLC working on a UK PS3 (in the Japanese PlayStation Store, with a Japanese copy of WE2013) but yeah. I assume that's what you did?
