Twice a week, Sundays and Thursdays.
GOAT Sweey who doesn't understand why he's crossing like he always did yet the ball is going all over the fucking place.

Whenever I had a sight of goal tonight:
Not scoring got into my head and then I started preventing others from scoring. Thanks to Original? for giving me one I couldn't miss in the second-to-last game. On the other game modes, my finishing's fine, but it just wasn't happening tonight. There was one where Original? played a great ball and I did everything right, but it still didn't go in. Just one of those nights, I guess. On the plus side, I was quite pleased with my decoy runs, a couple of which led to goals. People probably think I didn't mean them, but I did :tongue:
I wouldn't mind bringing back the old Team PesInsight days by having Original? and Joel up front.

I think I also set you up for a 1on1 which you ran straight into the keeper. These things happen though. All you can do is aim for the corners and press shoot. I missed a decent chance too with that lovely counter attacking the first (?) match.
We seemed to be playing ok until Sweey came online. I don't think Sweey himself was at fault for us going to shit, but it does often seem to have a negative effect when players join the group after a few games have already been played, moreso when we're already playing well. Players have to shift position, play style can be altered, rhythm can be lost etc. I've noticed it before.

Funnily enough, I thought I'd given you more than one you couldn't miss... but your abilities exceeded my wildest expectations! :laugh: Your movement in the first few games was pretty good though, this only served to highlight your finishing difficulties though!
The CPU defending at times was incomprehensible.

What would have been nice in one of the latter games is if, at RCM when I was CAM, you actually played behind me once in a while. For someone who likes whinging about me moving out of position I don't know where you were and I ended up spending more than half of that match at CDM trying to cover. It isn't something I've noticed with you previously so I'm sure there was a reason to it and Bammers was doing the same as you until I asked in text chat why I was the only midfielder being dragged back to stop their midfield making a mess of the CPU idiots at the back.

So last night's shitness was bookended by two big wins. What the fuck is going on? I know one thing - I hate playing in the rain, especially when I'm playing midfield. I can't slide-tackle properly because I have no control of my VP and he can't get back up quick enough. It's hard to explain, but I know I was pretty shit there, except perhaps for that game we lost 1-0 (we were robbed).

I don't think they were better than us in general, the big difference was their human centre back and our CPU centre back pairing. I don't think we played at our best but did score and caused some problems but their centre back was quick and strong. Made it very difficult to get reasonable shots off. Their goals were almost entirely unchallenged. They were very well practised at lobbing a ball over the top, which fit in well with our defenders' penchant for letting their man run off them.
Barn, I thought you generally did well, but in the two matches against that team the midfield was by-passed almost every time making it hard to get into the game.
When we come up against a human centre back I think we need to account for the type they are, there are two types: constant dropping back and constant pressure. Passes to feet against the first type and through balls against the latter. We typically play a lot of through balls and quite early, which can work very well (as per the first and last games) but against a human centre back that constantly drops deep it's easy to defend against. Think we need to play a few more to feet and play an extra pass. As soon as he drops deep, the person receiving the ball to feet rather than a through ball has a dog leg back four to exploit. These are the defences I think we struggle with the most.
Nah, they were considerably better than us. In the first game they gave us next to no time on the ball in all areas of the pitch. They were winning the ball back at their own will and this is where the goals we conceded came from. We managed to rattle them with the goal in the second game (a very well worked goal by Bam, Mak and Original?), but they regained their compsure and took control of the match again. You can say their goals were unchallenged, but those goals were when we were chasing the game and that's the reward for being ahead in the game - the losing team has to push up and they have their chances on the break. Pretty standard occurrence in football.
They're a very good side and let's be honest, they outplayed us twice. If it was just once then you could say we played bad, but the second time proved the reason we played bad is because they implemented their game on us and we couldn't find a way to turn it around.

I don't know wtf happened last night with my passing. I couldn't make the simplest of passes half the time! Was getting so pissed, even moreso with those cunts in the last game I played. Was a bad night all over the pitch I think, only Barn and Joel could come out with their heads held high.

That's very kind of you Ali but I was as bollocks as anyone, keep scuffing or missing my ground shots of late which is unacceptable. I think Joel's the only one who could come out of last night with any credit. It was just complete arse across the board and there's no point analyzing it.
