How do Option Files Work?

I haven't played PES since the PS2 days (and back then I wasnt online) so I am totally in the dark about this.

I have the game for the XBOX 360, and I want to download some edits, squads, etc. I have no idea how the process goes though.

Can someone help me out? :/
