lottery style of getting players does myclub no favours

i like that team spirit actually works and that you have to find players with styles that match ur manager's style but i find it frustrating that i could end up playing this game mode for 6 months and still not be able to play with some of my favourite players like falcao, herrera or januzaj due to the fact that it is out of my hands as to who will join my team, i haven't brought fifa this year but with ultimate team at least when you was playing matches you had the feeling you was actually working towards a goal of having enough coins to buy a player like aguero or robben, i wish pes would at least implement an option to swap players with other pes gamers in the mode.

i don't know if anyone else thinks the same?

I agree with you, for the most part. It is a bit of fun to earn enough digital bread to buy the player you want. But I think it's things like this, however, that shows how PES and FIFA are different. In this case, there is more of an emphasis on the individual in FIFA, whereas in PES, there appears to be more of a focus on the squad-as-a-whole vibe, which seems to mirror reality. Essentially, it appears that one player in PES' super-dooper squad building component affects the squad's chemistry more than one does in FIFA's.

im on the fence with this as i loved it at the begining, then hated it for a week and now i dont mind it again. but i do think their should be the option to buy players but not as cheap as 2014 , say maybe ronaldo and messi would cost something like 1.2 million gp and you could'nt buy them with coins you'd have to build your gp up. but have the agents aswell to make it both sides of the coin like fifa where you could get lucky and get a big player in the agent but it would take you alot longer to save for him but you know you can eventually get him.

a transfer market could be good, but I really like that the teams aren't all the same galacticos this year, and also stats seem to have flattened out a bit except for the very top players...

it's weird sometimes I come up against a proper galactico team and I'll just batter them, maybe as they have really low TS, I imagine someone has spent £100 on coins and just thrown their team together.... I haven't found any of those top players impossible to deal with except BALE!

The thing is to try and not get greedy for the big names as there are a lot of good players out there that you might not know so well..

Also its hard when you do finally land a good player and your manager's not into him!

i've played ultimate team intensively from fifa 09 till this year. personally i find myclub a very refreshing experience. it also comes close to what i was doing on ultimate team last few years anyways: i was only allowing myself to use players i was getting from packs. in my opinion this makes the experience of opening a new ball/pack much better.

For instance i got Lukaku in a black ball two weeks ago, and it felt like i just won the lottery.

This guy's got a very good point. I've also played Ultimate Team, from 11 until the brilliant 14 (then 'arcade' 15 came out). And the 'lottery' option in PES is a good one. You definitely value your players a lot more, and you think about your team too. You discover new players that you otherwise wouldn't have used, at least in FIFA. Ultimate Team has become a race to buy the same team every year, the fun and imagination in it is lost.
