I just had verratti on the verge of a breakthrough, played him 4 games and it said "showed signs of a breakthrough, but sadly it didn't happen this time"

Wtf, varane, mccarthy, depay and atsu all got their breakthroughs, why not verratti?

Did he get any goals and assists?

The best tactic when they're on the verge is to just pass to them as much as possible, and try your best to get them to score or assist, or even both. No matter what position they're in.

He definitely got at least one assist. I know that varane never got anything because my centre backs don't come up for corners.

Hello, I've got some news.

Milito and Meyer had shown remarkable progress. It's Milito's second time. Firstly, he had flourished when he was on a loan and he did it again in my team. Now he is 21 and has 87 OR (screen is a little bit out-of-date):

Meyer:

Now I'm pretty sure that player will flourish when he gets 6.5 or higher. Ze Roberto flourished after first match (6.5), Meyer after second (6.0, 6.5), Milito after first (7.0). The best way to get this 6.5 is to make as much succesful passes as it's possible (as Ali said). I didn't try it with goalkeepers but it may work too. NEVER skip matches then. I lost Buffon's flourish by this.

dysproz Exactly, 6.5 or higher secures the development, skipping matches or not playing the player will end his chance.

As for my ML... my computer is still under surgery. It will get better, but nobody knows how much time until then. PES still runs, but it's pretty much what it does. I'm almost in May, already League champion, and in domestic Cup and UCL finals. The latter is against Leverkusen. I might as well just post some pics from the final honours, as this is taking way too much time to finish.

Fucking hell, your Meyer is insane. Mine is "only" rated 85! (Same age)

I think the fact that I have such a large number of players has a huge effect on the player development. When did you sign him? I think I signed him when he was 22/23.

I don't remember but he probably was 23/24. He was a free agent for a long time with 86 OR so I signed him. He quickly developed to 89 and then flourished.
Do you put him regularly in the first lineup? The player develops better if he gets many chances to play.

Problem finally solved! Putting this as a magnificent metaphor...

The pacient had a total kidney failure, but was still alive. A kidney transplant was his only chance to survive, and one was, fortunately, quickly found. The hard part was the surgery itself, as the pacient showed signs of further internal damage. His body could not be cut open, so the kidney had to be inserted differently: by his mouth. The pacient ate the kidney, and with some black magic the doctors are still trying to get it to its place.

This is, I didn't manage to install W7 again due to some strange shit happening in the SSD, so I tried Xubuntu and it worked. On my way to see if the kidney can be properly placed, this is, if PES2015 works on Linux

Remember to give him a rest after this transplantation. Without that the patient won't make a good recovery ;)

Once upon a time I had Linux and no game worked on it. But it was very long time ago. Maybe there are some game emulators now.

Lahm - best RB regen. No doubt. After flourish:

dysproz - my Meyer got a boost last night, now at 89OR, so not that far off yours.

That Lahm is impressive, not my kind of player but... impressive. For me Maicon is still the best, less technique but so much stronger... more 15 cm and at least more 15 points in Balance, Header, etc. Just suits my style better.

Oh, and Riise kicks both their asses. Won UCL yesternight (I'm swapping the HDD 3/4 times a day :D) in the strangest game ever played in SS (I'll post a video, or at least try to), and he flourished. 88 OVR withh 19 years, but he's so massive nothing stops him

At last, I can say that my first PES2015 ML is finished.

The League games were surpassed, with more or less ease, but always without conceding any losses.
UEFA Champions League was a difficult competition, facing Bayern in quarter finals and Valencia in the semis. The final match was against... Bayer Leverkusen. It was the oddest game I've ever played in SS difficulty. See for yourselves:

And these were the final season results:

For the new Swansea ML I might import to PESGaming a format I've seen in other forums: SOMS, which means Story Of My Season. Can be done like a diary, written in first or third person (like a newspaper), or in any other way you may like. Consider it a kind of PESGFL team thread.

Edit.
Almost forgot. Here's Riise:

Very nice.

The last bit sound like a bit of fun- I've only done one ML about half way through a season in trying to get Livorno promoted. But with transfers finally coming next week I may start a new one and do this SOMS. The story of a recovering alcoholic manager and his rise to the top!

I understand your point of view but I see it a bit different. When I choose a defender I firstly look at a ball winning and defensive prowess. Even if player is physically weak, the ball winning ability fully recompenses it. It's a really funny situation when player like Lahm stops such a strong man like Lukaku. That's why I quickly got rid of Benteke. Although he was strong, opponent's defenders were dispossessing him with a great ease. I'm simply not convinced by this kind of players.

WOW! 88 OR at the age of 19 is a fantastic achievement. He is on a best way to have over 100 OR in future.

Your advantage in league is simply enormous. I finished as a runner-up again :(

I will watch this match soon. Can't do it at this moment.

Wow, you've got so many players. Maybe even twice more than me:shocking:

As I said before I finished the season as a runer-up:

As a consolation I've won UCL:

And finally, my team has 5 stars now.

They kinda make up for each other, but the physical strength can be put to good use when attacking, while Intercepting no. And my SB need to attack an awful lot. I too give importance to Defensive Awareness and Intercepting (the first is the main skill in a CB to me), but more when choosing CBs rather than SBs.

We'll never know... at least in the short term. I'm planning on getting him when I arrive at Wales.

It's an easy league, and I am way better than the rest of the teams. I often struggle to play how I want, but in the end the ball gets in.

There are quite a few that I just wasn't able to transfer, others were bought to fill in in case of emergencies. But yeah, is a more-than-reasonable squad :D

As I said before I finished the season as a runer-up:

Your League tables always surprise me... Arsenal getting 26 goals in a full season? A team only scoring 12 goals? 12????? Definitely 5 min matches are a bit too short. I can't even enjoy them. And it seems neither the AI.

And congratz on the 5 stars! ;)

Your formation is very offensive. Why do you need to attack with SB's?

Have you ever had 100 league points? :)
I remember that during my ML Liverpool had 102. They didn't lose any match.

Hah, Arsenal. I didn't notice that :haha:
If that team scored 12 goals in whole season... it means that Villalba scored more

I've already watched your UCL final match. You could win even higher :) That Goretzka's tackle was cute but yellow card for Riise... no comment.

I've got the screen of the match in which I had beaten a team 7-0 in 5 minute match. When you score first 3 or 4 goals it's easy to score more.
