It's not getting patched, Bhatti already confirm on Twitter that it's some sort of 'memory' issue (Konami speak for 'we can't be arsed').

There is a way around that, as annoying as the situation is. Base copy or transfer a player with the hairstyle you want from another team that you don't use. Then remove the current player.

Of course this means you will also have to edit the face to match the player you're replacing. You can either edit the face to your liking, or see if someone else has already provided the stats for it, by searching in the "player faces" section.

Yeah, its funny how FIFA 17 doesn't have that problem though, eh ? Konami are so lazy. Yet they continually assure us that they "really really are" listening to the fans this year... !
