[TEAMS] Classic Clubs by Various Editors

So... Looking through all your community submitted teams I see that some teams (West Ham, Aston Villa, Man City, Derby County, Sheffield Wednesday, Wimbledon, Wolves & West Brom) only have links to bin files. What have you guys done regarding kits for these teams? If you're all OK with it I was going to create a set (home, away & GK) for these teams. Wouldn't be any fancy dan strips with mad mental patterns through them, was thinking more late 70's early 80's stuff. Iconic colours for each team but probably mostly pre shirt sponsorship days. Sort of along the lines of the Portsmouth & Bolton kits I've done. Unless you had any specific favourites you'd like.
I would maybe exclude Man City & West Brom from these as Swoosh1968 over on Pesworld has kit sets for these teams already, don't know if you want to ask his permission to include his kits?

Just a thought & obviously it would take a good few weeks to complete but once I've done Trev's Bolton I'd only start messing around creating kits for no reason (or even worse have to start the Morocco kit :shocking

Cracking idea mate, as I haven't found any kits available for the likes of Derby and Westbrom.
I think a good Man City one would be there 2011-12 home shirt seen as its so iconic when they won there first prem title. Also a good Sheff Wed kit would be 1992-93 season when they went to Wembley I think 4 times in the season.

I've sorted the left long sleeve on the home & given the GK the home shorts & socks as was usual back in the day. I just done the whole set seeing as it was the same design with the only difference being the colours so it wasn't long to create, you don't need to use them all.

Trev, I'll look into the kits mentioned for Citeh & Wednesday & I'll do some old schoolers for your completed files too once I've finished all the kits I've already committed to.

Trev, that you got a couple of homes & aways for Bolton now I think so if you're OK with it I have a couple of other requests I've accepted that I've ignored for a few weeks I'd like to get done next before I do the 2012-13 kit but if I can get them out the way I can then concentrate on filling in the gaps & adding retro kits to the files already done (unless anyone has a new file they are working on)

Had a look at the Wednesday strip & I might have a problem because despite their being decent images of it out there I can't for the life of me work out what the pattern on the strip is (not the stripes, I got that) I mean the inlay through the fabric itself. I just can't seem to get my head round it to recreate it. I could do the strip without it but then it wouldn't be the 92-93 strip, it would just be A Sheffield Wednesday strip, as it's the detail that defines it (not sure this is making sense but it does to me) I'll keep trying to work it out but it will probably go near the bottom of the list for now I'm afraid

Bolton Wanderers XI

Here you go guys, Bolton Wanderers XI. I put Peter Reid, Frank Worthington, Jay Jay Okocha and Youri Djorkaeff in the squad even though they are already in other squads but felt couldn't leave them out due to being Bolton Legends. As usual feel free to remove if you don't want them in.

Much thanks to PippyjFreak (Amazing kit work mate!) and Classic editors for some of the players mentioned above.

Hi mate, glad u like it. The extra players I.e. Reidy, Okocha and the others mentioned I just base copied plus I altered them i.e. made Reidy look younger from his Bolton days

Just in case I ever tried to make a classic Scottish team Although that would be difficult because there has been a couple of good teams from the 80's (Aberdeen Cup Winners Cup Winners) & Dundee Utd ( European Cup Semi Finalists & UEFA Cup final) they were pretty much the only really great teams they had & most of the really good players would have moved on to English teams (so may be in other files)

Yeah I think you would have to do the list yourself mate. I working on QPR now but after that I will do you either Aberdeen XI or Dundee United XI your choice? It's the least I can do for all the great kits you are creating for us

That would be awesome to have an Aberdeen XI (the wife travelled to Dnipro, Athens, Madrid & Munich one year watching them in Europe) but it would be too much to ask mate, it must take ages to do a whole team.

Would love to see Aberdeen, Dundee Hibs and Hearts all represented, it would take sometime to do but with the classics everything is possible. Trev, fantastic job with Bolton and pippjfreak with the kits. Thanks for all the hard work lads
