What does the covering option do in individual player settings and how is it best used? Same question for man marking also. The problem i have is my brother plays two wing-forwards out wide and they always seem to have no-one near them?

i play vs my brother as well and i got the EXACT same problem.. he's always england and i'm always france.. and he' always seems to have joe cole "Free" on the wing and Wright Phillips on the other wing..

it's annoying because he always puts in those deep crosses and sometimes scores because rooney's stats are buffed.

i normally just pull my defence back onto the defensive 18yard line so they are ready fro the winger's charge.

works quite well

Covering is very useful against good teams. If you have your defenders man marking their strikers, the strikers can pull the defenders out of position leaving gaps for wing backs etc. if you have say a Defensive midfield or another defender on Covering, he will plug the gaps defenders on man marking left.

I normally use 3 defenders and a DMF just infront then put 2 defenders on Man to Man and the 3rd and the DMF on covering
