Brian Lara International Cricket 2007 [360/PC/PS2]

The Next Big Thing
With Lara I found it easier, but with EA sports it was more of a challenge.

I am judging on Cricket 2005 and Brian Lara 2005 as they are the only cricket games I have played

Brian Lara Cricket > Any other cricket game (including EA).
I wish there was also some sort of a Classic Team from each National Team as well, i'd love to be able to be the likes of Curtly Ambrose or Joel Garner steaming in.

Ah man, top idea - send it in. Curtly Ambrose, Courtney Walsh, Brian Lara, Jimmy Adams - anything to relive those West Indian days.
Quoted in 100% agreement. My brother is an EA cricket fan, why can't they learn they just can't do sports games.
True that! Bar a few though, I must say.

Also, counties - get 'em in! I wanna be able to play with Sussex, C&G Trophy winners.

Despite his exploits I was never that big a fan of Courtney Walsh, didn't rate him alongside several other classic West Indian's such as Garner, Marshall, Holding, Roberts, Ambrose and to a lesser extent the likes of Colin Croft and Wes Hall.

Well in my experience, EA has always been beaten. Cricket, Football and NHL are the three that I used to (foolishly) play on EA. Not anymore.

I have to admit to being a Sussex lad, what with my football allegiances I really should be a Hampshire fan but I couldn't bare being "in bed" with Scummers. Up the Sussex!

He took up some great partnerships with Ambrose though, both in bat, and off the pitch.

England, classic teams - after the Ian Botham days, who would you have Jonny? Dominic Cork, Angus Fraser?..

EDIT: Top lad, CC!

I like Brian Lara and had both this and the EA last time but one of them did have counties and classic players. You also had old matches in black and white and stuff. I prefer Lara though because it is more user friendly and not overly complicated like EA seem to manage.

Yeah, but I'm not going out of my way to buy EA Cricket, just for county clubs, it's the equivalent of buying FIFA just so I can play with Brighton.

Not happening, sorry!

Neither Fraser or Cork I feel, after his series against the Windies in 95 I don't think Cork was consistent enough despite his obvious match winning abilities. 'Gus was a decent seam bowler but never a great one I don't feel. Although not as explosive or unpredictable as Cork, Andy Caddick would have more of a shout in my eyes.

I'd have to have Jack Russell in there, 2nd best keeper England has ever had after Alan Knott just his face didn't fit, a far superior keeper to Alec Stewart anyday.

Athers would have to be in there without a doubt, Robin Smith in the middle order as well with Thorpe that's for sure, i'd also have a place in there for Mr. Flintoff. Graeme Hick despite being one of my favourite players of all time wouldn't get in there as his test career really did flounder against Pakistan in 96. :(

Jack Russell, legend. Never went a game without his hat.

Thorpy, yes, Atherton, yes.

I'm sorry, but I have to raise this, in a Brian Lara Cricket topic;

Raise your hand if you owned it, raise your hand if you spent ages playing it, raise your hand if you remember all the quotes.

"That was a textbook boundary"

CC - cheeky bastard.
