massive......disapointment

ez ppl, after noticing the most anticipated football game was out early, i had to purchase it.

After recently updating to the 360, from xbox and ps2, total football looked insight.

Somehow konami have made a truly great game with lots of extras into just a game with no extras, yet on the next generation platform, hmmm.

Consider this, wow where to begin,

1. No Saving ur replays, u can view them, but just coz u got a 20 gig hard drive or memory card counts for jack

2. Major reduction in the editing mode, cant change any of the following, Team Names (man blue, middlebrook etc), Player name on shirt, recent transfers, player apperance, player nationality quite frankly the list goes on....

3. 8 stadiums, wow this really is a step into next gen gaming

I did not play pes5 online so i dont no if u could take ur master league team online, but ya cant in this one.

So if u do play online u basically are gonna choose, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Man Utd, Brazil, what about us the little guys, i wanna play as Man Blue (city) but with dickov, how can ya. maybe i gotta wait till city get better, lol

any way thats my rant

peace and n-joi

i don t have any slowdown either only when a friend signs in to live or sends me a message them i have a bit of slowdown....anybody else got the same ??

Aye, I get that, it's fucking annoying.

This is a poor showing by Konami, hopefully that online league will be a good laugh though.

No mate, i initially rated it at 8/10. Having played the game more and finding other things had been taken out, i dropped it down to 7/10.

Thanks mate. Guess i'll stick to pc for pes6. Until next year, hopefully a year time is enough for konami to improve on next gen pes on xbox 360.

pes!

Can you change player names and team names in ps2 version my brother will be home in 20 mins with the game!!:D:D:D:D

Just unlocked Classic England before and changed all the names to the correct ones, only thing is that the old fake names remain on the back of the players shirt. So Bobby Moore has got Molna on his shirt and Wilson has got Wootang on his, can't change it on edit mode either :(

it is possible to change it to manual, if you go to curser settings. when the match has started, you press pause and go to system settings at the buttom.... regards.
what troubles me is that they have not included the same edit options as on ps2. the edit mode is practically useless, very disapointing. this is my first xbox and i think it is crap. if i am not able to edit the teams, appearence, transfers, the joy of it has disapeared!!!:realmad:

if your not happy about the lack of edit mode on xbox you need to ring konami london and make an official complaint and they will put it forward to the developers but everyone needs to ring they need at least a thousand complaints by phone not posted on internet.the number is 02089875730 and ask for lin or richy and they have said they r trying to sort it out but need complaints. plesase post on other sites.

I've had the fortune of playing PES6 on both the xbox360 and PS2. I personally think it (PS2 version) is great, a vast improvement from PES5. There's more options, stadiums (including the bernabeu), balls, licenced teams, etc.. And hey, there are even some supporters in the stadium now!

I can't help but think that the producers of this game try and implement the pace of the Primera Liga into this football simulation, which is by no means a bad thing as I love La Liga. I am referring to the way that they build up possesion from the back and then split the oppositions defence with slick, short and quick passes around the 18 yard box. However the cruyff turn seems to be a little slower and rigid to execute compared to previous versions, but that's my only criticism of the PS2 version so far.

I played the 360 version first and I have no idea what has happened.
- The gameplay seems to be slower, the shooting is terrible (the ball always rises)
- snow is not available in the weather conditions
- there is no individual game records at the end of the match
- the edit mode has been limited to the players ability and age only. You cannot edit the players appearance, teams, boots, stadiums or register / transfer players
- there is a limited choice of stadiums

The only plus is that the graphics are a lot better on the 360. I imagine Konami did the same thing as they did with PES5 on the psp, a job half done. I really have no idea why they did not make more of an effort on the 360 and utilise the consoles facilities. A shame to say the least.

I purchased the game for £24.77 at Asda on Thursday 26th October. I learned a long time ago not to order the game online.

Pro Evo 6 Xbox360 Lag Issue Fixed !

HI all,

just to let u all know...if you feel and have experienced the lagging or speed of the game is a little too slow, its becuase the xbox360 console is set on WIDESCREEN. Alter this setting back to NORMAL screen and the lag issue is fixed.

the speed of the game then picks up from winning eleven 10, BUT is a fraction slower, and i believe is complete right pace of the game. also skillful players turn faster and better (quick moves)

also if u didnt know all ready manual switching of players is there in SETTINGS and then CURSORS. check it out.

I purchased the xbox360 version on play.com and it arrived on the thursday a day early which was good. I cant see what all the fuss is about and find 7/10 a bit harsh as me and 3 of my mates all think its hands down the best version yet.

I understand that the cut down edit mode and the lack of stadiums and options in the game is a bit of a let down and I personally feel a bit short changed but the game plays so good you see past that. The graphics are hardly next gen but its a big leap from the last one specially on the ps2 and the player likeness is pretty good and the teams that are officially sponsored like Arsenal and Man u look spot on.

As for juventus being called turin what somebody said in the thread I dont know what game your playing cos they are actually called juventus in my version (unless you was talking about the ps2 version) with all the real player names and kit sponsor as with alot of the other top teams in the game. I have played with over 20 different top clubs and they all have the real names which isnt so bad as previous versions have had ridiculous names so you havent got to mess about changing them to the right ones.

Playabilty wise the shooting isnt bad either, im banging them in from 25 plus yards just like I was in evo 1,2,3,4 and 5 and the curl on the ball is better allowing for decent curled shots. headers seem a bit better as I have scored a few decent ones already and the new volley animations and the ability to volley the ball is easier. The passing is more crips and direct and the lob passes seem to pick out players better. the general feel of the player movement is slicker with better animations and there is more control of the ball when dribbling. also I think the changing player button is better and seems to change to the right player better (thats providing you have changed it to manual).

The game plays at a good pace and even though its slightly slower than evo 5 its still fast enough and feels more realistic and not so quick which I thinks good as it feels more natural with the emphasis on passing not just running up the pitch (which i still dont find a problem doing as the dribblings still good). my main issue would be with the keepers, i find they arent as good as the previous games. they parry easy shots giving easy rebounds, save shots that are clearly going wide giving silly corners, and tend to be always off their line by 5-6 yards or more allowing to be lobbed and they seem to run out far in 1 on 1 positions to be easily beat.

One of the the main thing im confused about in this thread is this speed and slowdown issue everyone keeps saying about. I dont know what the majority of you are playing your 360s on but i have a 32 inch samsung hdtv running a vga cable at max res of 1360x768 in widescreen at 60hz and there is no speed or slowdown issue for me, maybe slight slowdown on the corners before its taken but not whilst playing the game and it doesnt ruin the play of the game at all.

i remember playing fight night 3 on the 360 on my standard toshiba tv before i got my hdtv and the gameplay was sluggish and alot slower than on my hdtv so maybe the games are made for the use of hdtvs to get the maximum performance, but if your playing on a non compatible 60hz tv the game will feel slow as its made for 60hz.

I havent tried the game online yet so i cant pass judgement on that but what I have heard mainly on the forums i have to disagree with. as there is no slowdown for me, the shooting is good, player selection seems better. and the general play and appearance is better. A full edit mode and more stadiums and the added options and statistics at the end of the game would have been good but i dont see any of the above ruining how good the game plays...well not for me anyway.

Lets be honest pro evo was never about flash graphics and over the top statistics and options it has always been about flowing football, great goals and the easy to play but hard to master appeal with all the tricks skills and techniques mastered over time. Overall even with the cut down edit version, the lack of stadiums, the lack of offical kit sponsor, and lack of certain options and statistics and for me slightly dodgy keepers I would still give this a high score as it plays and feels so damn good.

This is just my opinion and im sure alot of you will disagree as the 360 version is lacking alot of features that the ps2 version has but i give the xbox 360 version .....

9/10

Just read in your review bluescouse you havent got an HDTV, Play the game on one and im sure you will find it plays and looks alot better surely giving it a higher score)

I actually dropped it down from 8/10 mate so i'm not going to put it back up again seeing as i won't be buying a HD for a while. I've just forked out over 400 quid on my Xbox and all other shit for it.

I just can't seem to get into PES6 like i did when all the previous games came out. I was never that excited about the game in the first place and now that i do have it, i'm not that impressed to say the least. PES3 always has and always will be the best in the series for me.

Yeh PES6 is dissapointing. I think if it had all the options available in the others like training missions, editing etc.. it would be the best there is. Also i've notice people saying that some names are unlicsenced like Juventus and Amsterdam Arena and Nou Camp, all these proper names are in the game for me.

I know what your saying mate its alot of money its just a better gaming experience through an HDTV as it seems the slowdown and the graphics is a major issue with some people.

your points are valid and I do agree that compared to the older versions its somewhat of a letdown in some areas as its got alot missing in it but i'm saying for pure playability its my fav yet. it took weeks to get into the other versions after pro evo 3 which was my fav one but I was hooked on this after 3 games.

like sal009 said....."I think if it had all the options available in the others like training missions, editing etc.. it would be the best there is." thats my exact point im overlooking the missing parts and just rating it purely on the gameplay...which i thinks the best one so far and i'm an Arsenal fan so my teams all licensed so im happy. and i dont know what version some people are playing cos most teams are the real names and players, it seems to be mainly most of the english premiership teams that aren't licensed which is a shame.

I think it all comes down to people expecting too much of the game specially on the new 360 platform there was alot of expectation...maybe too much and people was expecting a huge graphical improvement. I wasnt expecting too much difference to be honest im just happy pro evo is out for the 360 and I havent got to continue playing the piss poor F.I.F.A games as im a big football fan.

If you can look past the missing parts from the ps2 version and just want a good game of football then you wont go far wrong with this. I Know its only the Sun newspaper but they gave it 97% so its gotta be doing something right.

Fair comments except The Sun is a cunt of a newspaper, you won't find too many Scousers reading it after their reports on the Hillsborough disaster.......that goes for Evertonians to!
