they save all the hard shots and let in the easy ones

I think the goalies have improved in certain situations and got worse in others. On the last game if your opponent passed the ball to his attacker 10 yards out the keeper would dive out the way of the shot before it was taken. Now they save more than they conceed in this situation. Keepers now save more freekicks even if they are destined for the top corner - So better.

The keepers now, when a shot across the goal comes in, like to spill it to the nearest attacker meaning most of the goals against me are these. However, there is no issue with keepers if you utilise the added feature of players closing down shots. I recently played an online competition and conceeded the least goals of all out of the 300 entrants. I conceeded 1 goal and it was a good goal.

Overall if you play well enough, there is not really an issue with the keepers.

I agree 7ames, keepers do seem to have improved in certain ways but do tend to make very stupid mistakes, often they make a horrible mistake but then follow it up by making an outstanding recovery save

I disagree , find that 1 on 1 situations are quite hard to score goals from.

Only the dodgy keepers do that.

Perfect example: Pepe Reina is a great shot stopper in the game but makes loads of errors. I put 4 past him as United, 3 of those goals were down to poor goal keeping decisions but conversely he also kept Liverpool in it by making a couple of outstanding saves.

I feel it replicates real-life goalkeeping nicely, showing that a keeper with a high response and agility rating can make super-saves but can also make horrendous blunders if their 'keeper skill isn't high enough.

That said, I have seen Van der Saar pull an absolute howler before and he's got Keeper Skill 95 I think.

I agree,goalies have improved allot,but only when they are on goal line.soon as you run towards attacer you will concede goal..and that's for sure.
I play with Dida on goal and Terry & Lucio in D.they aren't so fast so I play on offside traps..so my goali has to be the third guy in D.he must be on his feet and clear every ball that passes throught my D (that's how it's done in real life)..but he's always either to slow or attacer just rounds him.
I love to play offside trap but now I see that doesn't bring much success and that's pain in the ass!

in real life one on ones are more likely to go in favour of the attacker anyway, i think the new goalies are great more realisitc and all round better.
