Without doubt the greatest game the Megadrive produced........in my opinion anyway.

My favourite megadrive game would probably be Skitchin. There were some good old Gems on that system mind. Street Fighter with E.Honda 1000 hand slap was class too. My mate still owns a fully working Megadrive and we still have the odd blast now and then.

Some good shouts here.

Final Fight - Man what a game! Sure Streets of Rage has a better following but I think FF was the game which created the whole scrolling beat 'em up genre. On the arcade once I remember being well chuffed that I'd reached the third level. Played it again quite recently on GBA and finished it first go.

Gauntlet - Another game I used to cane on my Amstrad. Didn't it have an unlimited amount of levels? Or atleast about 20 which got repeated till you die. I still fear the touch of that Death character. ;)

Barbarian - Awesome. Ok well compared to most beat 'em ups these days the fighting is simple.... but you could decapitate your opponent! A first in those days maybe. Haha just remembered the little green servant thing that walks across the screen, kicks the head away and drags the body. Classic!

Hey Greenegg, surely you've missed out Sam & Max. That game was funny & clever. Rare.

I'll add some more of my own soon.

Skitchin class game! I had a load of Japanese games, Strider, Sonic, Castle of illusion and a game with a guy with a weird turbin on his head. My uncle knew the name of it, will as him. All in them rounded of Jap cartridges, had to modify my Megadrive by carving into the slot! Pre historic chipping

Dam straight.

a lot of these games will get released on the X-box arcade. I was in a right pickle when it came to choosing Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter, MK won though.

Shinobi was quite good too, would be nice to go back and actually complete these games.

Or just download it for pc ;) (There's a thread somewhere)

Just loved Italia '90, Streets Of Rage and Mega Bomberman. Three of my favourite all time games.

Can't remember whether it had unlimited levels but your right about that Death character, used to shit mysef when that thing came after me..........probably still would now, lol.

I've still got my Commodore 64 upstairs somewhere, don't think i've got Gauntlet for it though, pretty sure some cunt nicked it on me
Still, it's definately my favourite game on the C64.
