PS3= Wate of time and effort

Just wanting to get a quick headcount on how many people are actually getting a PS3? Personally, i might, in a few years time, when it's cheaper, but i feel really reluctant to give any of my hard earned cash to Sony, of course the lure of PES and MGS4 is strong, but when Sony lie, cheat and put the best import retailer out of business, personally that just lowers my already mixed opinion of them. Microsoft and Nintendo didn't sue the same retailer, just Sony, and considering that the PS3 is region free, i'm surprised Sony took this action considering it would be the perfect reason for importing the goods. So in my humble opinion, SONY PS3 is the biggest farce in history, no matter how good the games are. SONY=DEVIL COMPANY!!!

I'm not buying a PS3. Just buy a 360, as the PS3 is just a more expensive version with a Blu-ray drive (this format will flop) and you have to wait longer for it too.

Sony sued Lik-sang, the best import company out there and put them outta business. I didnt see Microsoft or Nintendo suing then Sony really are clueless bastards and a lot of people who have heard of there recent dealings certainly won't be having anything more to do with them. Good thing Microsoft is suing them Sony= the most evil money grabbing bastards. They really have lost the plot, been sucked in by their own success. An ego is a dangerous thing, and Sony's is completely over the top. They actually want to try to sue any people who have put homebrew on their PSP's aswell. :\

a few yera ago when the first xbox was out it was diffrent ps2 had all the games now xbox has them all as wel


x box now has pes, gta all the games that made the ps2 what it was

plus other awasome games like halo, forza motorsport and so on

ps3 realese games are what on 360 now so you are telling me your going to buy a ps3 when its out with games you can already get now on 360

plus ps3 is way over priced and sony are complete fucking tossers to boot

No idea what Microsoft do for consoles, but as far as my computer goes they have helped me sort out quite a few problems, whereas when I had problems with my 5 or 6 PS2s Sony kept telling me the problems with disc read error wasnt one they had come across before. LMAO all they had to do was look on the internet and they would find thousands of complaints and they had no answer when I said I had it 6 times with 6 consoles.

they sue coz of the laser malfunction scandal they were sued 4!!i bought a ps1,the disc holder thing broke,they convienently release a slim version,my bulky ps2 breaks,they conviently release a slim version!my psp had too be taken back becuase of problems several times b4 i jus sold it on!truth is they do seem too skimp on components when making consoles!but there advantages are

pes will always feel better,easy too play on xbox but i like flair and it is made a little,not a lot,more difficult with the triggers!
metal gear,which like pes for me,is a console seller!!!!!terrific game and nothing compares,i like splinter cell but this is crap in comparison to solid snake!!
gran turismo,although i dont play it i did have it 4 me ps2 and didnt mind the odd game,prefer my racing games too have more than jus racing find tht dull,throw some police in i like that!project gotham is the comp but i dont really bother with that!

to be honest thats all i can think of,so i leave you with this question, is them fringe benefits worth payin £350+ more for?

my answer no.i have no doubt the ps3 will be a good console but i do soubt sonys customer service a manufacture ability

You're paying £350+ for a BD-Video/BD-ROM drive. Stand-Alone BD-Video Players would cost you around £999.

The PS3 is a bargain compared to that.

I'm still not willing to pay £400 for it though. All I can say is that I can see why the price is so steep.

There is more to customer service than actually selling the product. Once the console is sold they dont care about about what happens after that. I would be willing to bet that most people who bought a PS2 bought it because they had a PS1, which was much better than the competitors console. Now however with the next gen consoles, not all PS2 owners will get a PS3. In fact I imagine that sony will lose a fair proportion of its customers as the PS2 has let a huge amount of its customers down relatively speaking when compared to alternatives ie XBox, 360 and even PCs

very good arguements here deffiantly everyone is rite in there opinions, but sony will never flop to many people know of the playstation i dont no how many countless people ive met who say o i cant get them off the playstation when it turns out its an xbox or a gamcube the truth is most of the gamers have a ps2 n most likely will get the ps3 because its well known.

will the blu-ray flop well most likely, only ones gonna survive out of blu ray and hd dvd, but i dont think anyone should jump at the point because do you really know the difference between them both, well let me explain, the qaulity of the 2 are pretty much the same blu-ray is slightly better in quality by using the tv to new potential and of course there going to be used for the games on the ps3 y is this good well a blu-ray can hold up to ten times as much as a dvd can and the hd-dvd is just a dvd with hd-software built onto it, so the clear winner is blu-ray on paper but of course we all know by watching soccer, baseball, or football that it don't mean nothing, it looks like hd-dvd will win because of its name hd-dvd very familiar and not alot of people want to try somthing new until it's been reconised, and dvd was reconised over beta max, i bet you asked people and not many people no wot a beta max is. so there u have it hd has been reconised, dvd has been reconised whos gonna go buy a blu ray wen theres already one out but will wait and see.

i do believe ps3 is so much better, i have a 360 and the frame rate on that isn't that good, fifa still has its problems and even in pro evo the crowd still isn't full and that has its frame rate problem with a few other games to, the ps3 on the other hand will have the blu-ray disc which will be able to hold the info and with the cell chip it will be able to show it properly, i'm a hardcore gamer, i like to know my consoles before release, i kno both inside and out and 360 is out dated now, it's been out a year now so that graphics card is a year old, ps3's is a specialised card not even out yet and is the greatest graphics card out to date and with the cell chip it will be unstoppable aslong as the programmers can work with it and get it rite, so yet again pro evo will be the victor on ps3 over 360.
