question about max drive for ps2

hello i just visited my local game store and i asked the shop owner for the ps2 max drive, but he said the he does not sell it. However, i saw this item that is selling in the store: AR MAX EVO EDITION.

this package includes a usb drive, and I'm wondering if this drive is the Max drive used for transferring save files? i'm kinda confused bcos i asked the shop owner about that particular drive, he said its for storing cheats only.. hmm?

anyone have any idea if AR MAX EVO EDITION's usb drive is the same ps2 max drive used for storing save files (in this case PES option file?)

thanks for your response in advance, as i've been wanting to get one just for the sole purpose of pes option files transfer.

Also, I believe you can use any USB flash drive that has a FAT file format to transfer saves. I just have the AR MAX EVO CD and use a flash drive to transfer file saves.

I think it will work.
The different is, the first one is AR MAX EVO.
The second one is AR MAX.
I think the first one is the special edition.
I have it the first one though.
