GTA IV is out in October so I doubt we will see a price drop of what is to be a highly anticipated game. After that is close to Christmas with the rush etc. If it still isn't doing as good then I say early 2008.

UK fellas, a piece of advice from somebody who's tried both ps3 and X360:
Dont buy the ps3, you paying double the money for features you get with the 360, no good games, partial backwards compatibility, issues with controller, (it disconnects often for no apparent reason), we dont need a Blueray drive (without it, ps3 should cost like 400 dollars) all the cool games are coming to X360, I was ps3 # 1 fan, I planned to trade my 360 for a ps3, after trying ps3 I decided not to do it, now I'm looking for a Wii, it's impossible to find one this days, wherever you go, gamestop, ebgames, circuit city , best buy, etc. you find loads of ps3 but no Wii, does that ring a bell guys? people dont like ps3!!!!! also, some sources claim that there will be a price drop as early as summer stateside, ps3 sales are going very slow.......

Wii has been hard to get hands on. I don't know what the situation is now but I know since its release in November, my sister's boyfriend has been trying to get his hands on one. Last I heard (early February) he still had no luck on getting one. Thank god we pre-ordered it.

But with the game also coming out on the 360 on the same day they may be forced to drop the price to stop more 'Sony fanboys' defecting to buy the game. A lot of people bought the PS2 to get their hands on GTA 3 at the time, but Sony don't have that luxury with IV.

It would be an utterly despicable move by Microsoft. Can you imagine how the people who've already bought an Xbox 360 will feel? An absolute disgrace if you ask me. :shocking:

Nah, for most people price is not an issue, it's just that there arent good games to justify getting one, and, the 360 offers the same gaming performance (in some cases even better) for $200 less, some of the key sony exclusive titles are going to be released on 360 as well, Devil May Cry, Ace Combat, Virtua Fighter 5, Final Fantasy, some of them.
