This is my first year with pro evo/winning eleven, im loving the game so far, but i have some problems with free kicks. I cant seem to get and curve/bend into my kicks i was wondering how you guys do it. Ive been searching the forums but Ive tried a few thigns and it doesnt work. Im on ps3 btw, sorry for the noob question.

heres an interesting 1 for ya. if your close to the penalty area try using circle to shoot with instead of square. with this the ball can reach over the wall and dip quite quickly.

however you need to make sure the player wont cross it, so point whereabouts on the net you want it to go, press cirlce with about 1/4 strength and press up at the same time.

this may take sum practise but i think this is a great solution to scoring difficultly placed free kicks. practise on training mode

let me know how u go on

In PES08 there is only one thing to do with free kicks.
When you push shot button, you need to feel the shot charger
a lil bit before the half of the meter. When you do that, only Cech,Buffon,Van Der Saar can stop the shot.In PES08.Of Course!!!

Hi Errr.. Im Using An Xbox 360 But Same Applies For All Pro Evo Games And Free Kicks

Firstly When U Have A Free Kick I Always Hit The Ball Over The Wall. / Opposite To Where The Goaly Is Into The Biggest Space Of The Net/

Most Free Kick Takers Are Right Footed.
If Your On The Right Hand Side Of The Pitch The Goaly Will Be On The Left Of The Goals... Thus Aim For The Right Hand Corner..
If Ur Left Of The Field Then The Goaly Will Be More To The Left.. Thus Aim For The Top Left

Distance From Goal Is Also A Key Factor

Close Range Free Kicks
I Tend To Slow The Free Kick Down By Pressing Down And Left (diagonal Down And Left) This Causes The Ball To Rise Over The Wall At Slow Pace And Dip

Longer Range Free Kicks
I Tend To Press Up More With The Analog Stick And Left ( Diagonal Up And Left) This Causes The Ball To Go Over The Wall And Dip At Fast Pace

Power -
The Correct Power Is Obviously Important When Taking Free Kicks

Usually For Closer Range Free Kicks I Tend To Get The Power Bar Just Under Half... Making Sure I Am Pressing Down And Left On The Analog Stick

For The Longer Ranged Free Kicks I Tend To Have The Power Guage At Around Half Or Just Over Making Sure I Am Pressing Up And Diagonal Left On The Analog Stick

I Dont Understand People Saying Use The Shoulder Buttons For Swerve? Iv Never Used That So Im Not Sure...

The Same Thing Aplies For The Corners..
From The Bottom Right Hand Corner With A Right Footed Player
Move Right A Touch Or 2
Then As U Hit Cross To Roughly Half The Power
Press Right On The Analog Stick
Whoever You Play This Corner Will Cause Problems For The Goaly And Defenders- And Will Have Players Running Into Theyre Own Net
Iv Scored Many Goals Straight From Corners
Or By Opposition Scoring Own Goals

Best Free Kick Takers Are - Ronaldinho / Ronaldo / Carlos :)

Also You Can Set Up Free Kicks By Going To The Options When U Have A Free Kick And Do Step Overs
A Good Tactic Is To Select The One Which Taps The Ball In Front A Little So Ur Player Can Take A Powerful Shot

One of the best techniques i have found that works about 50% of the time from up to 10 yards outside the box is thus...

Choose a player with huge shot power/accuracy... Aim for the corner farthest away from goalie, press DOWN and LONG PASS.. Half the time the wall will jump and you can just nail the ball under the wall into the net!

Getting fustrated with the wall not jumping i have found if you aim IN BETWEEN one of the players legs aswell, even if the wall doesnt jump about 30% of the time it goes through anyway!

Also... a tip for putting the ball over the wall.. Normally there is 1 player in the wall who is a little bit shorter than the rest.. Aim to put the ball over his head.

You should see the look on friends faces when i put the ball straight under/through their wall.. priceless! :D

L1 + R1 taps it out to a player to hit if u have some one over the ball
then hit shoot
i use lampard the best at it

For FK's just outside the box, I check who has the strongest shot power, then use him to strike the tapped out ball, whether he's a CB or even a GK!:erm: Drive the opposition 'keeper through the net!
