It slows down because the players are affected by fatigue as the tournament progresses. When you first start Champions League mode you can choose if you want to enable "accumulated fatigue" or not. I'm not sure if this applies to other modes. If not, use the turnover mothod, which means, change...

I hate when they add new features but remove old ones. They should add new things to the existing product only, not replace them. I used to love being able to pick your shirt + shorts + socks colors before a match in the old PES.

I remember PES 2008 advertised a feature where you can pull shirts. I never ended up playing 2008, but how can we do this in 2009? I've never even seen the computer pull my shirt yet. Thanks.
