Should Konami release an Update on the Huge shorts??

Would it be too much to ask?? Every single person who has played PES 2009 shares one opinion in common; "What's with the Basketball Shorts??"

I know it isn't really important.. But can Konami release an Update on the ridiculously Huge Shorts?? Maybe it's just a small tweak, and surely everybody would notice this update.

What do you guys think about this?? Can we ask Konami to "fix" the shorts? Or just leave it like it is.

Yeah, they are pretty big. I'll never have a conniption fit over something like that, though.

It would be neat to have basketball shorts, classic shorts, and normal shorts.

Between those three, we currently have "Basketball Shorts", they just look ridiculous.

Thing is no one likes the Shorts, they make the Uniform as a whole look bad, and really, How hard can it be??

They have Already released more complicated Updates such as Editing a few teams like Atletico Madrid, they have added "Champions League" Logos on to the sides of the shirts, all this with One Update.

Now, no one likes the Shorts available in PES09, we cannot edit the shorts like we do with the uniforms.. So, I think shorter Shorts, or the Option of choosing between different Lengths in shorts, I think it would be a smart Update.

Easy and yet something everyone would notice.

at first it bothered me too but let's be honest most teams and players wear these shorts now or am i the only one that has noticed this.
don't get me wrong i would like the option too choose because it would make the classic teams alot more realistic but to request a patch to fix that would be too much in my oppinion, they could just fix it that the AI teammates don't give away so many fouls because that's the biggest problem i have with the game.

Yeah, I would be pissed off if they spent time patching shorts than patching other problems or updating rosters.

An Update on the shorts is hardly an Update, it must be very easy to do, and it would be something everyone would notice.

By the way, I have seen How shorts look in Real-Life, and I have no idea from where Konami had the idea of mixing Basketball shorts with Football.

For one thing, I would be more appreciative of an Update on the Shorts -rather- than the Update of some Teams that I can easily Edit myself.

I think the Humongous Shorts make the Uniforms as a whole look bad. I know that it isn't really a Priority, but it would be an Easy update that would please everyone.

I can't say I notice the size of the shorts. I would prefer an update where the goalkeepers are better - too may keep their hands close to their chest; I can't believe it would be difficult to make them stretch out a bit to reach the ball. I would also like it if they could stop defenders watching the ball while it floats over them, when a hight through pass is played. I think this was a problem on FIFA, which has now been resolved through their recent patch.

Well goalies are pretty badass for me so far. At least in BAL mode. Dida, for one, has made some superman saves against me.

I agree, shorts aren't really a Priority, but its just that everyone who has played PES09 with me, they always comment on how "Huge the Shorts are". I agree.

It wouldn't affect the Gameplay or anything like that, but if Konami could release a couple of easy Updates such as; Different Lengths to choose from in the Shorts, the Option of placing Logos in the sides of the shirts, and the option of placing Logos in the Socks.

Those kind of Details would make a Difference to how the game Looks, they would be Easy to do, and Most fans would notice them. I'm just saying, considering they have already released a considerable Update, maybe we could ask for a bit more?

But yeah, an Update on the Gameplay should always come 1st.

they still look ridiclous plus when some player get untucked shirts during a match it looks like they r wearing a dress and its unrealistic they have all these options for the ps2 back in the pes 5,6 days where u could have untucked shirts medium socks low socks high socks also under shorts and neck warmers theses are all good things konami have taken out. Next year i want all these back in and smaller shots and differnt types of ankle tape and socks which seem really popular now like ronaldo and torres and bring back mix and match kits its like it one step forward and two steps back with konami

Players don't come out on the pitch with their shorts on the thigh though, it's just above the knee now like how it should be. They just get ruffled up during play.

The wideness of the shorts is the issue, they are static on PS2, not sure if it's the same on next gen. The length is fine in my opinion.

They should bring back the neck warmers and kit choosing, like away top and home shorts.

As said before, there are alot greater issues rather than the lengh of the shorts. I barely recognise them anymore. The first update containing the new teams & CL kits was brilliant. I agree though that the mix & matching of home & away tops/shorts/socks. Can really come in handy, I've found a few of my games on BAL when I was with Everton had been quite hard to distinquish our team from others no matter which combination of home & aay kits chosen.

I've also gotten used to the Shorts in PES09, that is until I watch a Real Football Match and realize just How Huge the Shorts are in PES09, they look Unrealistic and make the Uniform as a whole look bad.

Not a priority, not an issue -but- it is a simple annoyance that could be simply "fixed" with an Easy Update.

I don't see How anyone would find it a waste of time, even more so considering it should barely take any Time at all.

Some people are saying that huge shorts are not a priority, but since its such an easy fix (change it one place in the game engine, and it gets applied everywhere automatically), why not add it to the list of fixes in the next update?

My priority right now is for Konami to integrate the champions league into the master league. Should not be too difficult to do either.

Not giving us everything we want is Konami's way to keep us buying PES every year. We always hope the next version will have everything we dream of.
