Thats my point , they say they're 1080p on the box like ut3 but they're not with the exception of wipeout hd most of those game will run slightly higher than 720p so for a marketing point of view they fire 1080p on the box to fool you even though the rez is closer to 720p

Many games on the ps3 say its 720p but they can be played/upscaled to 1080p Dont believe what it says on the box , GTA 4 on the ps3 plays at 1080p but is nowhere near that resolution really it isnt even 720p its something like 620p on all formats the only game thats true 1080p is wipEout HD at...

I read somewhere that the difference between 1080 i and p is so small the human eye cant see it...but i've also read that on big screens 1080i can be blurred when playing fast moving games

Its a kind of placebo effect and i've had every version of pes on the sony systems obviously i am a pes player :)
