What happened to us?
We used to spend our time posting images of attractive women, while discussing our own egos. Now though, we have sunk to posting ugly pictures relating to odd smileys.

Know what you mean about the current game drought. I'm just waiting for ME3 (2 is awesome, get playing it you daft gimp :boss, ES:Skyrim and possibly Saints Row 3. Just completed Mafia II. Decent story, half decent gunplay , but not as astounding as the critics made out.
Did you never play the original Deus Ex?
It's an FPS view, with some RPG elements, problem solving, in a futuristic (read semi Bladerunner) setting with multiple endings and a free-form environment where the player drives the story mode rather than the other way around.
You tried Mafia II? Bit linear for what feels at times sandbox, but it's an enjoyable romp so far...
Or there is always Deus Ex out tomorrow. Apart from some average AI at times, I believe it's a bit special. And not in a Matt or Dale kind of way. -
