Unfortunately... You're 100% right. Handicapping and scripted actions from the A.I. are blatant in PES. This game sucks.

Fiber optic should be much more effective than any other type of connections. Be sure to have a good upload bandwidth, always use cable connection to the ps4, and search for type 4 or 5 in connection levels on the start menu.

All depends on what kind of connection you have, and your opponents connection. Lag exists, more than desirable, but this year you can select from 1 to 5 level of connection, being the 5 the best. IMO Konami can and should improve connections to the online gaming, but they don't give a shit...

Apply live update before the OF. Tick the 2 option to all teams. Use the zip/folder inside the 4.0 zip file that says wepes all/complete. Use 10 bins, save, then another 10... Good luck!
