Doesn't count if it's a regen..... To be fair though, no current ML player can match up to the ones in the PES6 (and other PS2 era games) days. They don't develop as much. Even PES 2011 - I had 2 players (Aguero and Rodrigo Moreno) that reached over 100OVR.

The physical contact thing sounds more promising. It's annoying that in PES2016, your defenders will just bounce off opposition players, withouth having an impact.

I'm not sure match rating has a major impact. I've had GKs that have had a 8/9 game flourish, and they rarely get high ratings.

You've never received an injury?? How much have you played. Does your team have any rivals matches? It's rare that I come away from a rivals match WITHOUT anybody being injured! I'd like to add a few more things they need to add/bring back to ML: - Ability to edit your ML team's kit...
