Just double checked and you definitely can't. You can't transfer in or out of the teams and you can't add their players to the national teams- really disappointing stuff. The mode is basically Copa Libertadores 2012 as it was, boxed off from the main game.

And you can't edit or base copy the Libertadores players and teams!

I totally agree with the calls for you to add facial hair to players without having to reconstruct their faces. I would also like to see some proper beards and taches available, I'm sick of these bumfluff efforts they serve up year after year.
