I think people confuse the star rating system as some kind of difficulty level. It doesn't make play the computer any harder or easier but rather changes the CPU's approach to the game (from 3* onward this applies to really). Some approaches are easier to beat then others. Certain levels...

Yeah, this was a flaw with Pes5. Your full backs go up instead of your CB's/ Stupid bug really. The only way you can kinda get around it is by manually making your team attack minded. Wait a bit and some of your players will push up including one of your CB's making his way into the area...

Konami dont expect you to buy every version. If you haven't bought WE, you can buy the newer tweaked version. If you live in europe, you should only play PES.

I think the aim of any football game should be to recreate the world football leagues, its cup competitions and international tournaments. It would be nice for PES to become like Football Manager.

Actually, you have a point there. When playing on a higher difficulty, I do have my gaurd up a bit more and wont take as many risks i.e. bringing a man forward to help support the attack.

I kinda found it easier too but the AI is a lot sharper in front of goal. You have to work harder when it has the ball. Maybe because 5* AI is more attack orientated, so it leaves more space at the back.

Basically, yeah. It's the gentle antidote to the laced power shots you always had in previous versions.

The controlled shot is actually a side-footed shot. As in real life, you can't get as much power but your placement is less wild. I think it's worth having as it varies the gameplay and it looks realistic too.

Screenshots of FIFA on the 360 have majorly failed to impress me. I do hope PES is more realistic like they have been with the PS2 versions.
