I've started letting the intro sequence (teams in the tunnel) play for a bit longer (till their out on the pitch) at the start of my first match, instead of pressing start straight away. The freezing has stopped :)

Forget the re-set prevention feature. I had it on during ML in last years game, but it would freeze a few times. Keep it off, and be honest :) I have not experienced this problem with the current game, but my PES freezes sometimes during the opening sequence for a match. When the loading stars...
