after making a few coasters i finally got this working, but i'm having trouble uploading the option file. i try booting the cd (which was created according to the guide linked to in the original post) and it says "welcome to ps2menu, loading... please wait" but just sits there. any ideas...

well.. I tried making the dvd as the tutorial explained, but as soon the disc loads it quits back to the browser menu. There was one difference with what I did in that I didn't overwrite the 0_SOUND.AFS (to keep the japanese commentary). Could this affect whether the disc would work? Also I've...

could someone tell me which field is "Référence du dique" in the volume tab of cd/dvd generator? in the tutorial it says i'm assuming this part wasn't translated and i don't know which field it is supposed to be (although i'm guessing it's disc name?) and i don't want to go ahead and burn it...

I have to disagree with these (already being in the game). The gameplay is good at times but at others can be absoluetly horrible: - Idiotic passing - Retarded AI - Slow reaction times (by this I mean you do something and it can take up to a full second for the player to actually do...

For me it wouldn't be "what features would I have" it would be "how would I change the game". If you know what I mean.

I think you are confused about what you really want to know. If you want to know whether a Japanese game will work on an American PS2 it probably depends on whether the DVD is region-coded, nothing to do with NTSC/PAL/SECAM. The answer is most likely no unless you have a chipped PS2.

I'd love to see some crappy stadiums in the game. Especially for when you are down in 1st (2nd in WE7) Division with a bunch of no-namers. Variety is the spice of life, as they say. PS - Will there be more divisions in WE8? Or has nothing been said about this?

Yes that is true but has nothing to do with NTSC itself, it is simply region coding for DVD's. For example, if you record a show onto VHS in America, you can watch that same tape in Japan (or even here in Australia if you have an NTSC-capable VCR and TV). :)
