IMO the power bar for through balls is a good idea, because in PES3 a lot of the time through balls don't work as you would want them to, now we will have extra control over them.

I agree

it is good that smaller stadiums are in....I'd like to have Loftus rd. and the Brescia, because it gives variety....I'd like bernabeu,Mestalla, hampden,st james',bayarena & Ibrox too though...or parkhead.

About the stadiums, i think there should be some portugeese stadiums and a few american stadiums to. Especially the '94 world cup stadium.

There should definately be a Portuguese stadium to tie in with Euro2004. Also, going a little off topic, i said a year ago that latvia should be in PES3 because they stood a good chance of qualifying for EURO2004. At the time i was met with the usual 'we dont want insignificant teams like that' bullshit. And with Konami's usual lack of insight into who's on the up in the football world, Latvia were left out.

Who's laughing now, eh.

I'd love to see some crappy stadiums in the game. Especially for when you are down in 1st (2nd in WE7) Division with a bunch of no-namers. Variety is the spice of life, as they say.

PS - Will there be more divisions in WE8? Or has nothing been said about this?

Yep, crappy stadiums will be a nice change from the pretty arenas we often play in PES. Bit dissappointed Hampden Parks not mentioned though, thats a nice stadium.

And I hope they make Old Trafford's pitch nicer to play on in the new game. I always find the Old Trafford pitch to be "bumpy" and uncomfortable to play on PES3.

Not sure where to post this, but the list for the FIFPro licensed teams is wrong.

Czech Republic are not part of the FIFPro license. Instead the teams are Chile and Cyprus in the original Japanese list. According to those over @ evo-web anyway :) But I have checked at fifpro.org and Czech Republic aren't in the list so it is in fact wrong :)

it does not mean cyprus are definatley in the game or anything.... it simply means players of cyprus nationality (cyrpriates i believe you call them) will have their real names.

The following info is from Henry @ Soccergaming. I asked him if he could translate some of the Famitsu mag scans. He very kindly did so:

Master League Details:

When starting a Master League, the player can choose to have the default "unknown" players in the team just like in PES3. Or the player can start with the real players such as Becks, Zidane, Ronaldo etc @ Real Madrid.

The Interview with Takatsuka

Interviewer (Int.):It looks like there will be new motions for dribbling .

Takatsuka (T) : We have been struggling because we couldn`t add flexibility .
But this time , we were able to add a little bit of it .

Int. : A little bit of flexibility ?

T : yes. For example , if you want to turn 90 degrees , first you needed to go right , and then go up. So you needed to always move to turn . But in "8" , you don`t have to move .
You could turn your self upwards without moving the ball . There`s a well known scene that uses this movement , if the opponent comes from front of you , first you stop the ball .
Next you jump the ball , and turn your back to your opponent . And then , after protecting the ball turn again where you were heading and outrun the opponent .

Int. : So you can just , adjust the direction your facing with out moving the ball .

T : Yes . You don`t have to use space , so the variations for dribbling increased .
For controllers , there are some other secret features added too, so the feeling of playing is going to change alot .

Int. : In Winning Eleven 7 International , you could make the ball float by using the right analog stick pressing Down > UP . And it looks like there are more of these kind of stuff .

T : Yes. There are some technical moves (feints) added that you could use .

Int . : What kind of feints are there ?

T : For example , you try to go right, cut back just before touching the ball , and go left.
You could do these kind of movements ordinarily.

Int. : Looks like dribbling is fun !

T : Well ..some parts have been weakened . In the past series , you could easily break through the side by using dash dribbling . But this time , players that have low dribbling capability runs (dash`s) really slow.
So its hard to break through sides this time . It will be hard for teams like Japan .

Int .: Are there any other changes with the controllers ?

T : In the previous game , Marseille Roulette was added , and there were opinions that the
analog pass was very hard to use because it use`s the same button .And you needed to press down the R3 button to use is . So this time ,we made it so that the users could chose to ,turn the right analog stick 360 degrees while pressing in the R3 button , or just turn the right analog stick 360 degrees for Marseille Roulette . You could change this in the Key config .

I like the sound of this option. No more Cellini and Minanda, woohoo.
