09 Draft

Hi all,

PES2009 is due to be released on the ps2 this weekend, and with it me and my housemates construct a draft.

Removing all players from their* teams we then take it turns to pick the unsigned players for our own fantasy teams.

Every PES release we do this on day 1, with no one knowing which players are good/bad stats wise.

Last term (2008) I picked Villa and Torres to run my front line, both good forwards but I'm sure you all can admit, not pro ev star class...

My question to you PS3 users, who are the best players on the game for each position? any shock players better than they should be? players worse than they should be....

Aguero is top class & should be considered as he is fast & can finish well.

It depends what you look for in the players you try to sign, i think if you have a good knowledge of PES 08 then most of the players that were top drawer from that are pretty much well represented in this years game.

Some of the youngers players from last year like Aguero, Pato & Benzema etc have much better starting stats this time around.

ibrahimovic: cant lose the ball
berbatov: he has the goal all the time
c.ronaldo: you can do whatever you want
messi: the same as ronaldo
puyol: the best defender
ferdinand: the same as puyol
sergio ramos: excellent shoot and he can mark very well
sissoko and poulsen: 2 very good DMFs
henry: very good scorer from outside the box
joe cole: very good dribber
ALL PLAYERS TESTED ABOVE 60 matches!
Tom, i made the same with 2 friends of mine and we play every day with our fantasy teams!

giovinco and foggia also very good dribblers

Yeh Messi & Ronaldo pretty much dominate the game.

Terry Ferdinand Puyol....
(everyone plays three at the back so only need good CB really)

and CM...
Stevie G, Lamps? any vast improvers from last year?

There are the obvious CB's but im AC Milan in master league, Nesta & Kaladze are both really good so are worth bearing in mind.

Pirlo is quite good in the middle, good passer & can hit a decent freekick.

Although those 3 players i just mentioned are not that quick, thats the only draw back about them really.

Not that I enjoy bumping old threads,
But my draft is tonight . Got the new PES on PS2 and I'm more impressed than I thought I would be! The dribblers of this world seem to have been overtaken by passers (which favours my play).
I'm looking for strong powerful (rather than fast skillful) strikers, who can head.

I'm thinking adebayor, torres, berbatov or maybe Drogba...

Can anyone let me know if their pro ev skills reflect their season last year and if not, any player who might fit my requirements?

Also is Cesc any good this year?

Fabregas has improved this year but i still think his stats are a little low but i would imagine that his stats would rocket up in master league.

Toni is wicked but Aguero is by far the goalscorer on the game...

fred is good but slow on the game midfield player that sticks out to me is joe cole.

and altough it pains me to say this ashley cole is best left back and ferdinand and canavaro center backs top qaulity mate
