13 weeks is nothing, I had Ronaldinho injured for a whopping 45 weeks after a seemingly good tackle.
Imagine the horror.

I had Van der Vaart out for 45 weeks, i was gutted as he was my top scoreing midfielder.

Yeah 13 is nothing really. i've had 40 weeks which, as i'm sure you know is exactly a season + pre season. what a shitter that was.

The only problems with the injuries on the game are that:

A) They don't happen anywhere near enough. Even when they do, they're normally only about 2 weeks long.

B) They don't have any analysis. If any of you have played NHL games then they were incredible for detail and length of injuries. there were dozens or more ranging from stuff like broken fingers and flu, to torn ACL's, slipped disks, hernia's and broken bones.

I'm almost Certain that i had a ridiculous 54 weeks for an injured player once (Litbauski i think). But although he missed the whole season, and i had to use my third or fourth strikers, he was fit again for the first match of next season.

Never had a retirement through injury though

Me neither, but some are retiring end of the season(they will become about 40) and maybe one goes out with a bang.

Ill bet on Garrincha, one tackle and that guy is out for 6 weeks standard.

Zola

I bought Zola as a youth player and he was maturing and improving very nicely until a tackle put him out of action for a whole season.

Does this mean that he won't improve to be as good as he could have been if he hadn't been injured for a whole season?

Anybody know what defines when somebody will get injured. You can do tons of bad tackles and the guy always gets up fine?

Is there a stat that if it is high enough increases the chances of injuring people?

Injury Tolerance

There is a stat called "injury tolerance" which goes from A to C, with C being the lowest. This is what affects the chances of a player becoming crook!

The injury tolerance doesn't mean that someone can't get injured at all though. A player that I made up - Mark Townsend - had A grade injury tolerance and has just had to retire through injury at the age of 18! How crap is that?!?!?!
