Should the newer 14-panel footballs (<--click here) offer better control and grip vs it's conventional pentagon/hexagon counter parts?

The 14 panel football is suppose to offer the best grip, the roundest, water resistant and resilient. So wouldn't that make the use of this ball a +1 (if a football had attributes).

same as the adidas predators boots, if they are licensed by adidas i'm surprised they havent demanded a +1 on the players swerve and power stats.
