2.1 SuperPatch with WE6FE...?

Lo,

When using the calcio superpatch 2.1, I'm getting the message "File is larger than original, import will be truncated." when trying to replace the FILEDATA.AFS with the patched version.

I wouldn't have thought this is normal, and I was wondering if anyone else has had that problem.

I *am* using a miracle release of the game, rather than the original (though I've bought both the Pro Evos that are available in the UK) , so I suppose some stuff could be missing from the original FILEDATA.AFS that I have.

I've given it a few quick plays and it seems fine.

Is anyone else running the miracle release patched this way? Have you had any problems with it? I'd hate to play a season of master league only to have it crash on the trophy ceremony.

Just thought I'd reply to my own post.

Most of the stuff seems to work, but the game will get stuck on the loading screen if you try and do the challenge training, or training in master league mode.

Everything else seems to work fine.

I wouldn't mind picking up a copy of FE legally, so if anyone has any suggestions on where to get it in the UK, I'd love to hear them.

I'm new to all this lark. What's a patch and how do you use it? Is it just something you can use with an imported or chipped game or could I use it on PES2?

Naughty places. I'd post here but I like this forum and I'd like to hang around in the hope that it'll get popular one day. :)

I stopped using the Calcio patch a while back, but I did like the presentation, so I took the screens, changed the music etc. And didn't have any problems.

What you could do, is extract the entire all files into a directory, replace the afs and then burn it with nero using mode 2.

earlybird, yes you need to apply patches to imported games (you don't get chipped games), you need to create a backup copy. Patches modify graphics and data within the game, from kits, menus and language,to music, player data etc. None of the patches I've seen can be applied to PES2, but the tools are compatible.

Robbo, for a legal copy try goblindirect.co.uk

AFP Files

What program do you need to put the patch on the CD? The program I normally use does not do AFP files.

You cannot patch PES2 because it is on a DVD, whereas WE6:FE is on a CD.

A good site to get WE6:FE and any imported games from is www.goblingames.co.uk

Wanna bet? :D

You could just burn pes2 on a cdr after taking out the other languages. Like I did with pes2 and we6i, although I'm not sure I should be talking about it

I have no seen any patches for pes2, if anyone knows of any they could be useful.

Some of the tools used to edit we6fe can be used to edit pes2.
