2 vs 1 house rivalry

i share a house with 2 other blokes and we are all addicted to pro evo. we are all about the same standard. however when we play an exhibition 2vs1 the player on his own always completely dominates the game. its becoming a major source of bitterness and gloating within the house.

is it easier to play on your own than with someone else? i always thought it would be easier to play with someone else so that they can make runs while you pass a through ball. are there any tips anyone can suggest to improve the game of the team with 2 human players? any suggestions anyone has would be very useful. i want to wipe the smirks off my housemates faces.

my best tip is to communicate, preferrably quietly and/or quickly so the other guy doesn't hear

plus it may can be good to arrange on person to chase the ball carrier whereas the other can try to mark a passing target, or sit a bit deeped for when the first defender gets beaten

the main problem with 2 on one team is that the formation loses shape, it may be best to play a different formation with two players than with one, something ridiculously attacking may work!

You need an understanding. My mate Ste is great at the game and we have some epics. My mate Peter is someone I usually beat but when we are the 2 and anyone else is the one we usually win because he is a better team player.

Tips for team play:

Decide how you are going to defend, Zonal or Man Marking.

Pull players out of position if your mate has the ball and run across defensive lines to make your opponent think about who he has to go with.

2 players of a good standard with a good understanding should be better than 1.

Pass the ball and don't be greedy.
