Yeh i second most of whats been said, I find that if you play at a lower level for too long then it creates bad habits, this makes it harder to move up a level, start a fresh at 4*,5*, and stick with it, you'll adapt how you play and benefit from it.
Hope this helps

i was having the same problem with 3 star so i decided to change so i did and i found that while you get more chances to score i swear the game has sped up to and that the keeper is much harder to beat.

My team;

-------------------------Cech-------------------------
Cicinho-----------Terry-----------Puyol-----------Gallas
----------------------David Pizzaro---------------------
C.Ronaldo---------------------------------------Robben
-----------------------Lampard------------------------
----------------------Raul-----Robinho-----------------

It took me a while (3 seasons) to get the team i wanted but when i did, as soon as i signed Raul, everyting fell into place. I signed him half way through the season, while i was 9th, and i finished 2nd. I think unless you are happy with your squad, you wont do well.

Lampard is 30 :(

I think you mite have posted in the wrong thread mate

I think not. 3* is hard, but it becomes instantly playable when you truly understand the game (and applying your squad to your tactics).

I find 2* harder than 6*!

But i know why: I lose interest quicker on 2* because it becomes boring quick.

6* is better for more attacking players because you can counter attack easily, and not concede many goals if your defence is strong.

I thought i was the only one that struggled on 3*
I actually lost 3-1 to argentina the other night when i was holland!
I couldn't believe it to be honest!

Im gonna take some of this advice on board and try playing on 4* or 5*

playing on 4* is so much better it gets the best out of your players, i just managed to get out of division 2 on ML on 3*!

i find that the jump from 2 stars to 3 stars is the hardest once u are capable of playing on 3 stars 4,5 and 6 are simple.

I've been having this problem as well. I just got into the PES series lately. I started on 1*, got too good (winning games 5-0 most times). I moved to 2* and I can't win a game to save my life. After reading this thread I tried a game on 4*. I still lost but only 0-1 and had much more fun playing. Is there something I'm missing or do I just need to practice tons more? Thanks!

Keep practising. I've been playing PES/ISS for about 8 years and the more you practise the better you get without a doubt. But i've gotta say unless you're practising set pieces then don't use training option. Always practice in friendly matches. But the jump from 2* to 3* is very difficult.
